There have been a lot of Ninjas in Capcom and SNK fighting games... who's your favorite from this list?:

Hanzo
Eiji
Ibuki
Galford
Hokutamaru
Zantetsu
'Zaki (from Project Justice)

Hey Batsu, you forgot a couple:

Guy
Mai Shiranui

My favorite from your list is Hanzo, followed VERY closely by Eiji.

My favorite overall is Guy, followed VERY CLOSELY by Hanzo.

Personally, I like Hanzo. I suck with him, but I like his design very much. Love the pony tail too.

For the Snk side my favorite ninja is Galfor because of his dog and the moves he can pull off, but he's tied with Lin from KOF 2000 because those poison attacks make him a very deadly person.

On the Capcom side my favorite ninja is Ginsu the Ninja Commando from the game Captain Commando

Eiji, Brilliant character hopefully he's in KOF 2001 :)

Ibuki, Best fighter in SF3. Great stuff :)

I don't have a favourite between the two, but Geki from SF1 would probably kick both their asses :D

It's all about Sogetsu. The professional look and that smirk the slash version does when he wins the 1st round. Too much. Galford was my favorite prior and Hanzo was cool until SNK turned him into the Guile of Shodown. Actually I liked all the SNK ninjas; save Earthquake's cheap butt. As for Capcom, the only ones I've seen or played were Guy and Ibuki.

The ninjas that I know of that are part of the Capcom series are:

These are the ninjas that represent Bushin-Ryu Ninjitsu:

Guy (FF/SFA)
Kairi (SFEX)
Hokuto (SFEX)
Nanase (SFEX)
Hayate (SFEX)

Here are other ninjas from Capcom:

Ibuki (SF3)
Geki (The Original SF)

*Background note: it's rumored that Ibuki is the only daughter of Geki. Geki is seen in the Ibuki stage, but he is hard to see because he teleports in and out the stage really quick.

and don't tell me that you guys don't remember the Striders (Hiryu and Hien).

If we're talking total Capcom and total SNK, that's a huge list of ninjas.

I mean who can forget the Ninja from Captain Commando? (US name was Ginzu, dunno the Jap name) What about Vega/Balrog, the Spanish Ninja? And what about what about Lynn Kurosawa from Aliens vs Predator? Capcom has made a ton of games, as has SNK.

However my favourite ninjas are still Guy and Andy. The originals.

For me Eiji then Mai but I think that Mai barely qualifies as a ninja as she isn't very secretive or very discrete.  :o :D

Vega practises Ninjitsu, is very secretive like a ninja and is an assassin, kinda like a ninja.... so I guess you could count him as one.... But, the real point to this topic is.... GEKI IS THE FATHER OF IBUKI?!!!!??? OH MAN! I never heard that before, But I think its a really cool rumour. I personally thought that she was a Strider like Hiryu, for 3 reasons:

1: I heard somewhere that Ibuki was sent from a secret Island to take out Gill, This sounds very like Hiryu, who was sent out to destroy the Master from a secret island...
2: Ibuki is about the right age to be the daughter of Hiryu.
and 3: I thought it would be cool to put a link to Hiryu in SF3.... But, I love that Geki thing as well.... Man, I wish they'd put him in SFA4 or something.....

Yeah, I saw that rumor somewhere in the web. Another rumor I saw was that Lee was the son of Gen. Lee is the guy with the pony tail and beanie who used kung fu. According to the rumor, Lee studies Monkey and Mantis. This rival Gen's Crane and Mantis and Assassin's Hand Style.

Here's another (Cool) rumour:

Q is the last agent of Shadowloo. Reasons:

1: He never speaks, goes around all areas of the globe, and (Tries) to dress like a normal person. Sounds quite a lot like one of the Cyborgs from the Anime doesn't it? He could be a deactivated Cyborg just wandering around.....

2: An interesting theory is this, is that he is M. Bison... think about it. In Alpha 3, Bisons body is destroyed, sooo he gets a slimmer body for SF2. I assume this was destroyed and so Bison has entered this body to watch the various fighters around the globe.... He masks his fighting style as well like this, so thats the reason why he doesn't have any of Bison's moves.

3: Notice how Q fights like he doesn't really know how to? His crouching Roundhouse has him fall on face, when he does a rush punch he looks like he's gonna fall over... Could be Bison trying to get used to his new body size, or a malfunctioning Cyborg fighting with a mish mash of moves he's seen.

4: He has something in common with each of the 4 bosses of Shadowloo,
Balrog: His rush punches.
Vega: Wears a kind of Mask to (Protect?) his face.
Sagat: Sheer physical presence.
Bison: He wears a hat? heh...

5: Its kinda cool to think there is a link to Shadowloo in the game. I think that Capcom would have made a sneaky one like this, rather than a blatant one.

Personnally, I don't know what to think. He could just be a random dude who likes to dress strangely or something....

Quite interesting, Rain... We might find who's Q if he returns to SF4 (If it's ever made ). BTW, there's an interesting news topic involving the merging Capcom & a Korean animation company called Koho Enterprises.. so they might be used to draw SF4.

The impression I got about Q was that there is more than one of him, since his ending shows that he is spotted at many different places all over the world during the pivotal events of SF3. I kind of got the impression that yet another organization is watching the world warriors with interest. If I remember correctly, he even shows up in the meeting room where the officials were only moments before talking about him, leading me to believe that he may possibly even be a secret agent of interpol, and that there is corruption in that orginzation that Chun Li is unaware of.

The Shadowloo thing is a stretch, though. Shadowloo is finished. SF's continuity has moved beyond it.

I'd love to see Sagat show up in some incarnation of III, though .

Sagat should return. If he is ever used again though, I see Capcom using him as a Master training a younger fighter to beat Ryu kinda guy. Even though that is totally out of character *Heh* In regards to Q, I think the Shadowloo conection does carry some weight though. Its maybe a splinter group of Shadowloo, Which created Q and infiltrated Interpol with him....... sure is food for thought........

Rain:

I will admit that if they ever unveil Q's secret and it's a Shadowloo thing, I will in retrospect be able to accept it. It just felt to me like Capcom was trying to distance themselves from Vega and Shadowloo and that whole storyline by not using so many of the old characters for III.

I agree with Capcom getting rid of Shadowloo for the whole Gill saga. However, I think that Capcom would have put in a sneaky reference to Shadowloo in there somewhere..... I think that Q is it.

Another things is... that if SF4 (or another sequel to SF3) we might be seeing Gill and Bison fight face to face (if Gill ressurected him)... to see who's the better Street Fighter boss. Of course, I could be wrong.
