They have to make it the old command like in '98. I much rather prefer the DP motion instead of the damm charge motion.

Terry's my favorite character, but I prefer it as a charge move. Its too damn powerful if you don't have to really work for it.

Yeah, Terry was an overpowered fighter in '96 - '98... He doesn't need the DP motion, let it stay a charge move... wink

It charges fast enough that I don't think it matters too much. It's still easy to combo, and it's still easy to pull off quick in a situation. What pisses me off is that it wasn't in Garou!

Since he taught it to Rock maybe he didn't think he needed it anymore. Or maybe he's getting to old to do it. annoyed

Well, either way he got a nastier Power Dunk so I think it balances out.

I'm sure Terry was to old to do the rising tackle. Come on, once you hit the thirties I don't think anyone would want to spin upside down...He'll probably puke or fall flat head first unto concrete.

That's true. It's probably a terrible strain on his knees too.

I mostly used Terry in the Real Bout games. So I can't really complain. He could use the rising tackle easily out of many combos and it's always been a charge move in Fatal Fury.

In many games it was easy to connect with a Rising Tackle after a Power Charge/Tackle. You could be charging down whilst the other move was being performed and link to specials together. Of course, CvS2 Terry doesn't have the Power Tackle. :D

In some games you could also link the Rising Tackle of a light Burn Knucle. :) Don't know about CvS2 though, I couldn't really get into the game much, I didn't like the red shadow effect in the supers. I don't know why this bugs me so much it just does.

I actually find Terrys Rising Tackle to be more effective as a charge move. At least in the KoF series.

Terry's RT got raped in the CvS series because Capcom makes the charge time .5 seconds longer than SNK does. It makes alot of combos almost, if not entirely, impossible to get off. frown

Yeah Capcom makes the charge time longer. That's why I would rather have it as a DP motion.

Listen, just as long as Terry's in the game
it doesn't matter to me.

I rarely use this move, except I like it better as a charge move. It helps to lure an opponent in who thinks you're trying to turtle, although I never combo with the RT.

Rising tackle is my favorite move on Terry. Capcom
could have added in Round wave and Power charge though.
If there is a CVS3, they need to have extra moves on Terry. Like Hawainangle Geyser.

Face it, in most the games he is in, the rising tackle is a charge move. The DP motion of it makes it WAAYYY to badass. It's sweet enough as a charge move, nevermind making it a DP.

What games was it a DP anyhow? 97,98? I cannot remember, maybe 96? Little help?

For the most part, it's always been charge, and should stay that way.

Yeah '99 Terry was best, his new moves were greta looking and refreshing. Nothing beats doing the Power Charge into Power Dunk, it looks quality. And then his CD has so many frames of animation too.

I never cared for 99 Terry, but I've already said that. What I wanted to say was his CD had that many frames for years. It's the same one from 96~99. Too bad they got stupid and made one of the coolest looking moves in the game look like crap from 2k on. Sigh.

well, they should keep Terry's Rising Tackle as a charge motion. it should retain it's effectiveness.

IMO, the charge motion and the DP motion both have advantages, as mentioned previously the charge motion is good because it actually makes your opponent think about what he/she's going to do beforehand.
