Yeah, Terry was an overpowered fighter in '96 - '98... He doesn't need the DP motion, let it stay a charge move... winkBionic Lester:
Terry's my favorite character, but I prefer it as a charge move. Its too damn powerful if you don't have to really work for it.
That's true. It's probably a terrible strain on his knees too.david:
I'm sure Terry was to old to do the rising tackle. Come on, once you hit the thirties I don't think anyone would want to spin upside down...He'll probably puke or fall flat head first unto concrete.
Don't know about CvS2 though, I couldn't really get into the game much, I didn't like the red shadow effect in the supers. I don't know why this bugs me so much it just does.As a 31-year-old, I can confirm this.david:

Yeah Capcom makes the charge time longer. That's why I would rather have it as a DP motion.CraigPilecky:
Terry's RT got raped in the CvS series because Capcom makes the charge time .5 seconds longer than SNK does. It makes alot of combos almost, if not entirely, impossible to get off.![]()
Off of a Light BN?! eek! by chance do remember the games? And maybe the set ups for this? Also I have a vid of Real Bout where terry combos the RT after his power gyser SDM?! Anyone know What the specifics are for that(Timing etc...)??BigFred:
In many games it was easy to connect with a Rising Tackle after a Power Charge/Tackle. You could be charging down whilst the other move was being performed and link to specials together. Of course, CvS2 Terry doesn't have the Power Tackle.![]()
In some games you could also link the Rising Tackle of a light Burn Knucle.![]()
Face it, in most the games he is in, the rising tackle is a charge move. The DP motion of it makes it WAAYYY to badass. It's sweet enough as a charge move, nevermind making it a DP.Ignition:
They have to make it the old command like in '98. I much rather prefer the DP motion instead of the damm charge motion.

What games was it a DP anyhow? 97,98? I cannot remember, maybe 96? Little help?

Keep it coming, it was 96 and 97 too, was it not? 97 and 98 for sure.Bionic Lester:
'98.
I never cared for 99 Terry, but I've already said that. What I wanted to say was his CD had that many frames for years. It's the same one from 96~99. Too bad they got stupid and made one of the coolest looking moves in the game look like crap from 2k on. Sigh.Plisken:
Yeah '99 Terry was best, his new moves were greta looking and refreshing. Nothing beats doing the Power Charge into Power Dunk, it looks quality. And then his CD has so many frames of animation too.
Agreed.Tridagger X:well, they should keep Terry's Rising Tackle as a charge motion. it should retain it's effectiveness.
