Finally beat God Rugal in CvS2 EO!

After almost 3 months of trying, I defeated God Rugal in CvS2 on my GCN.

I know it seems like nothing, but he is just one of the TOUGHEST enemies to defeat! I used Ryu, Ken, and Sakura, and beat him with my last character on very low health.

Now I only have to find out how to beat Shin Akuma.... any tips?

Shin Akuma throws too many fireballs. Use that to your advantage

Shin akuma is a million times easier than god rugal. God rugal is a bitch and a half. akuma is a push over. since your using ryu try pressuring him with the weak hurricane kick just get in his face with it and either it'll work and you'll kick ass or just the oposite. i normally get decent results with that...good luck

Both of them are easy to beat.God rugal can be a wee bit harder though.
S.Akuma always throws a lot of fireballs and he is always on the offensive.He leaves himself wide open for attacks.He is reckless most of the times.

G.Rugal too is easy to beat.Not as aggressive as S.akuma.The CPU turtles a lot and sometimes the roll and throw tactic works.I used Ken to own him a lot.

If he wasnt a bitch to beat, he wouldnt be Rugal..lol, It's about time capcom got a taste of the Genocide cutter pain. There is an extremely easy way to beat him though, Just use Blanka and do the ball over and over again.

For akuma...Just block..he's aggresive to the point of leaving himself open with idiotic moves, and he takes a lot more damage from a counter than Rugal does.

i perfected shin akuma when the whole roll cancell thing was first introduced

i used iori and repeatedly did his rush throw move rc'ed....each time akuma would wake he would throw a fireball or some other kinda wake up attack...no blocking

ive had minor success doing that since...but its never worked as well as it did that one time....weird

God Rugal is a little harder than Shin Akuma but three months just to beat him, you really aren't all to good are you.It took me only 15 min after buying the game to beat him on the hardest level and everyone else I know beat him in the same day of buying the game, and if you can't beat Shin Akuma you're in some serious need of help.

I suppose I do then. Keep in mind that the GC control pad really does suck; it's small and hard to pull off some of the SNK character combos (Hibiki, Athena).

Blocking is my weakness, and I rarley score a combo more than 4 hits.

But if we're talking Street Fighter 3, I Can get 14 hit combos as Gill.

Yes, I got him after I beat him. He's not that great though, I usually play as Shoryuken type characters.

Yes, I got him after I beat him. He's not that great though, I usually play as Shoryuken type characters.

You should go to Practice Mode pick the person you want to practice with and make the CPU G.Rugal on whatever level and make him fight you.You should try that with other people and try to find out all there strengths and weaknesses.You'll become a much better player.
