One of the reasons why I prefer KOF over SF ;)

They never made a crappy movie based on the KOF game...

SF:The Movie was the second worst video game licensed movies ever ( Super Mario Brothers being the first )... ;)

I hope not , if it would turn out to be like the SF movie... ;)

BTW, your sig is over the 100K limit that's on these forums...The mods here are quick to lock profiles on people who have large sigs...better reduce it while you can ;)

This is true about no shitty KoF live action movie...

Buuut what they need to do is give us a full on KoF anime series. I just bought the Dream match 1999 for the DC and after seeing that opening movie I was like

So yes, we need a KoF anime. ::then begins to giggle at the thought of live action King of Fighters...::

That's true, but what did you expect out of a live action movie based on hand-drawn characters? The only live action movies based on video games that I have seen that weren't terrible are Mortal Kombat (which is actually pretty damn awesome), and Resident Evil (which is OK).

On the other hand, SF does have two animated movies, the first (SFII) being pretty good, and the second (SFA) being awesome - it looks just the games. Which reminds me that I need to buy those...

Speaking of games that translate into movies, mortal kombat did a great job of it.

I think that was due to the game actually being/striving for a more relistic human appearance. Which made it easy to translate that to real human actors.
Kano for example was IMO a great appearance to direct the games role, and MK had a more mystic feel.

SF was a joke, but give RJ some credit, poor guy :(

What about Resident Evil the movie? Same director as Mortal Kombat. And the upcoming DOOM movie?

The Doom movie has been "upcoming" for many years. Did you see any news on it?

The most recent thing I've heard about the Doom movie is as of a few months ago and it boils down to "Really! Its not dead!"

Yup...

And from what I understand it was very shoddily made. Who would make King an evil character?!

And yes, I'll give up some love for Raul Julia. He owned. ::bows head::

I just thought the whole sf movie was screwed up from the beginning. Ken and Ryu were like thieves or something. Guile the main character, ha and let's see E. Honda was a Hawain sumo, no way. I'm sure then can make a street fighter that follows the story, they just didn't do it. I never saw the AOF anime, but I look at the box for a second or two..the animation looked weird. SF Alpha the movie was I don't know...not satisfying after watching it. I guess the Fatal Fury anime is probably the best I have seen, but then again Geese didn't fall out of his building and Krauser was drawn different from the video games. Damn I'm picky, but that's true I want everything atleast if not 100% accurate then maybe make it atleast around 98% accurate.
I don't care if Tong Fu Rue was or wasn't involve with Terry and Andy as the anime showed but Damn it Geese had to fall from the building not to some stupid pond.

Actually, I think the Super Mario Brothers movie is kind of a guilty pleasure.

It has so little to do with the video game series that it's almost worth watching.

DeEvolution this!
