I have to go with other. Because, if I am fighting someone that I don't know or playing in the arcades, I usually give up a bunch of hits to see what type of player they are. This way, I can formulate my plan of attack. If I see someone playing a shoto, I immediatley pressure them. People playing shotos can be trick into dragon punches and fireballs. Not saying that everyone falls for this, but most people I have played against, does. Charge characters, I become aggressive and try not to let them charage a move. (Because, most players are able to put their supers into combos, which are really dangerous.) Grapplers I poke and try not to get grabbed. But, my main strategy is to open them up and land a nice, hefty combo trying to end it in a super.

This is entirely dependent on who I am, and who my opponent is. Usually if its Shoto vs Shoto I'm a Poker, if its Shoto vs. Non-shoto I'm an aggressor, and if its Non-shoto vs Shoto I'm a major-ass turtle . :cool:

Thats horribly basic, but it seems like you can easily lump players into two major categories of Shoto and Non-shoto. Even a few SNK characters (Terry, Kyo, etc) handle in a "Shoto" style....so blah.....

I'd say 2,3,and 4 in all fighting games for vs. matches. I almost never block. However, when fighting against another poker/aggressor, I have to mix in the counters and hit and run tactics. If someone likes to block all the time, I'll just fireball or combo down their defenses. My main goal is to keep a fast and furious pace whenever playing with someone else, so that the fighting is intense. Like whenever I play Soul Calibur, the matches almost never last more than 30 seconds-with the time limit turned off.
