I had ignored the Cap V SNK series after the first one on DC was so poor.
NOw I find out from reading the reviews for Capcom V SNK 2 that capcom V snk 2 put right a lot of moves and gameplay faults, whilst adding SNK characters like haoumaru,Rock, eagle and Todo and last blade characters, to create a whole new level of dreammatches.
I also see that there are several big threads devoted to new character line ups in cap v snk 3.And that once again people are calling for neglected snk characters to be included in a new game.
If most these characters are put in over time, it will be pretty amazing to behold, all in contrast to KOF which has had a pretty strict line up for the last 5 years
So this makes me think, while Capcom are being innovative in including these neglected SNK characters into Capcom V SNK games......maybe this series will now outlive KOF in interest, imagination and popularity amongst hardcore 2d beat em up fans??
This isnt neccasarily what I beleive, but its a point worth discussing right???
Personally I have always thought that at some point SNK should have created a B list KOF, 1998 would have been a perfect time...where a completely new roster, redrawn was put in.With teams from World heroes,,Kizuna encounter, and Last blade, burning fight, and samurai shodown. With a few cameos from karnov revenge and ADK
Such a game would have been sensational to those who liked other SNK characters, and this series should have been allowed to grow and be hyped seperatly to the "real" KOF........that way, we might not face capcom potentially "raping" SNK's previous fighter heritage in its Cap V SNK series.
