hey yo anyone out there in vegas wanna meet up and play some cap vs snk 2 during the christmas week? i'll be spending christmas out there and i only stay on the strip. the only places i know that have it are excalibur, new york new york, and circus circus. i guess the new york new york machine is the best one cuz i get some challenges out there last time i was there. anyone interested?

btw, is there any KOF machines on the strip, the only arcade i know is at mary K's on sahara?

You have two (and I mean TWO) possible challengers here in Vegas.

Me (okay I suck XD) and Fygee (we're 50/50 against each other). He's more familiar with the CvS2 and Neo Geo machines in this city so I'll give him the link to this thread so he can respond. He and I need some more folks to play with as this town's bad when it comes to gamers.

Not that there are bad ones, but there's just so few. We need more arcades here dammit!

There's also a CvS2 machine located in an arcade in a shopping complex near the Meadows Mall. Aside from that and those places you mentioned, they're the only CvS2 locations here.

When it comes to Neo-Geo, Vegas is very deprived. The only arcade I know of that has KOF is Mary K's, and they lack KOF '01 and '02, and the machines are in very bad condition. The Excalibur and Scandia each have a 2-game MVS machine, but they only have Metal Slug 2 and Puzzle Bobble 1. The Sahara has the dedicated cabinet for the Irritating Maze, with the spiffy air jet and everything, but its still not KOF.

cool, i might hit up the capcom vs snk 2 machines on the strip on the 24th of December. yeah, do you guys get challenges from peoples who use the shotos, guile, and blanka?

down here in daygo, i dont play much in the arcades since no one plays it down here in the arcades so i hope to rock some peeps in vegas like the last time i was here (which was this past summer). i be packing a mean triad of yamazaki, terry, and either vice, kyo, or athena.

i get challengers at the circus circus machine but it cost a buck!!! and it's the place that i discover how blanka can be a cheapo!!

Yes....

Add Honda to that and you have the majority of Vegas CvS2 players. I like my blend of Beni, Kyosuke/Vega, and King. It's weak I know, but i like 'em.

And ::gulp:: no offense, but you couldn't pay me enough to set foot in Circus Circus. I hate clowns.

Not true, at Gameland located by the meadows mall has three four slot MVS. The now have Rage of the Dragons and King of Fighters 2001. After talking to the owner, I found out that he should be receiving King of Fighters 2002 this weekend. He wants to build four more MVS machine. That arcade is the only place were you can request a game and he'll buy the games because of current demands. That is the reason he got Rage of the Dragons. I wanted to play it, then he bought it. You should check it out this weekend.

Gee whizz, someone with the same philosophy as I; to not always play with the most powerful charas, but, rather ones you LIKE!

Me, it's Beni, Kyosuke, *Vice*... (CvS2)
Or, Beni, Shingo, Vanessa, *Yashiro (KoF2K)

Too bad you don't live anywhere near me, but, then again, other than GoodTimes Emporium in Somerville, the arcade scene's pretty dead in the greater Boston area...

Sorry... :(

But Meadows Mall is quite far from the Strip. It's on N. Decatur the last time I checked.

When Fygee and I first went there all these punk kids were playing CvS2 and were using only the cheesy Capcom side. Fygee (being the brave SNK man that he is) stepped in and they cheesed him to death. Naturally that pissed both of us off.

The only other place that has it is Orleans, and it's kinda funky on the 2up side. I just suggest Mary K's too, but that's off the strip also.

Close to you is Gameworks, and that's just overpriced. >.<

Gameland maybe far away but from what I have been able to tell, it is the only arcade that has KofF 2k1 and Koff 2k2. Little travel time might be worth some great neo play time. That's my two cents.

all you have to do is take I-15 north till you get to to I-95. go north on I-95 till you get to decatur. the meadows is on the left hand side. It is next to the Toy r Us and the gamestop. Dude, trust me, i have been to mary k's and the new york new yok. game land is the best for fighting games and neo-geos. but if you dont want to do that, there is always gameworks that is on the strip right across the new york new york. it might have cap snk2. i dont remeber. they have no neo-geos though.

Gameland and Mary K's will both get you decent challenges, just be prepared as they tend to be uber-cheesy.

I'd go there more often if I had a mode of transportation in this city. I live car-free! >.<

If you go to gameland or Mark K's, I'll meet up with you and challange you. I am not the greatest gamer but don't really suck. Well.....Maybe a little.

ive been to mary K's before and it was a hella far from the strip. stupid me, i walked from stratosphere (i was staying there) all the way to mary K's. ill try and make it but my schedule is pretty tight so it'll be hard to slip in a trip to mary K's becuz i dont want to leave the hotel during christmas and i'll be staying in fugly downtown vegas on the 26th which makes it super hard to get to mary K's.

If I can make it count me in too. I usually try my best to witness Fygee and all his KoF greatness.

I can try, but I can't guarantee anything as its close to X-mas and I'm a fair distance away. The arcade in the shopping area next to the Meadows Mall would be better.

as much as possible, i dont want to go out of the strip. the last time i went off the strip was to go to mary Ks. some homeless dude was stalking me about a few yards before i reached the place. not a good idea for tourist such as myself.

Hehe, that's because Mary K's is in a really asstastic area of town. The area Gameland is in is much, much better.

Fygee's right. Mary K's is in the middle of a very run-down area, and the strip is filled with too many tourists.

I live closer to NY, NY... but I'd rather have Fygee there too as he's my good buddy. I'm for Gameland.

I am on-call at my work so that means I just float around town till I get a page or a call. I been at gameland this week with my brother and damn I must say King of Fighters 2002 is so f***ing bad ass. If you want to play real up to date Neo games thwen you should play at Gameland. The neighbor is much better than Mary K's and the choices are hella better. If you have not played KOF 2K2 and you live in Vegas, you got to go to Gameland.
