I was at gamestop the other day lookin' at ps2 games and there were some stupid kids looking at Cap v snk2, and they said "dude why'd they put street fighter with snk, what the crap is that? I'd buy it if it was capcom vs mortal kombat." I'd just like to thank Capcom for this game, and hope and pray that they never go near a MK vs game. <img src="graemlins/angry.gif" border="0" alt="[Angry]" />

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to breed. Thankfuly the kids in the area of cali i live in are brighter then those two, all they want is MvC 3.

MK is good in its own right. They might palette swap time and time again, but the storywriting Dan Forden does for the series gets as creative as SNK. Each character has their own story to tell in the game. So, people should quick comparing Namco/SNK/Capcom/Midway, they are all good in their own way.
Actually, in MK5: Deadly Alliance, all the ninja have a distinct costume instead of pallet swap. For instance, Scorpion looks more Japanese in his costume, Reptile fights with no mask now, Sub-Zero is growing old, and Cyrax looks more like the T-800 from terminator now.

As a new SNK fan I think that yes, you're right. some people shouldn't breed... or be allowed to touch an SNK game until they learn to respect it.

I just remembered a time back when MK II had just barely come out, and the at the local arcade there was always the huge line for it, and I;d always go play SF II. One day some kid waitin to play MK said "dude why do you play that game? You don't bounce when you hit the ground in real life, that game sucks it's so unrealistic" I didn't even say anything since I guess at the time pulling someone's spine out of their body was super realistic <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

Mortal Kombat was a great series that just sucked after MK2. MK4/Gold was a step in the right direction, however, and with MK Deadly Alliance out it looks like the series will be restored to its former glory.
But still, a Capcom vs. MK game just wouldn't work.
