Most adaptable to VS series for SNK characters

Everyone is somewhat averse to VS-style renditions of SNK characters. After all, SNK games have their own technical style, not some cheesy button masher...

Anyways, which SNK character would be most adaptable to a VS series type game?

... and it doesn't have to be KOF/FF/AOF/SS/LB/MS. Like any SNK character...

I'd say the people from Sengoku 3

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Aside from KOF, a LB vs SS game is the only SNK vs style game I'd get excited about.
