Best Game in the Series?

Hi there...I`m new so dont attack me if this is an oft asked question loco

I had an AES years ago so the only game I got to play was KOF94...there have been 8 more since so now I have an MVS, which are the years I should go for??

I agree with kiori. All of them have their special stuff and on MVS all of them is worth the cash. Start from 94 and work upwards and the price for 02 will sink a bit while you work throught the series.

If you need just one i would go for KOF 2001 (just flame me!). After being dissapointed with 2002 i got to the conclusing that i have most fun with 2001. There are tons of different teams, playing styles and combos.

It´s imho the deepest kof both i gameplay and options. The background are pretty dull and the soundtrack isn´t very good. But gameplay owns and thats the important thing.

Take KOF 99 for the looks. The best looking kof ever imho.

Cgun is right, kof2001 is one of the best and has the coolest final boss ever.

Here are my faves in order:

KOF97/KOF2001 (can't decide )
KOF98
KOF96 (a real classic)

Nah, but KOF is just an awesome series. I STILL haven't played KOF02 and KOF03 is around the corner! What is a poor college student to do?

if you want the story start from 97 and don`t care about 98 02 because they are colliction.
but if you like to blay the best try 99 and 2001 cause they have all you need. buttrock
