i never really bet on quaters, i would guess who would win, or whatever, but not enough people were into arcades where i lived as a kid, sigh....so sad, my first fighting game was fatal fury!
I watch the demos. It's great way to see what the characters have to offer and see if there's anymoves I don't know about. Plus I like to check my scores. Though, I've never bet on the matches. With my luck, I'd lose every time; even if I betted on characters like Athena to lose.

"Don't be scared! I'll only cut off one of your heads! Guess!"
Most of the time when I look at the demos I'm staring at the two characters doing jack all,oh maybe once one of them will throw the other and that's about it
That's what I'm doing. I just look at them and feel compelled to curse at them because all they do is just sit there.
The only way I can watch a good demo is if I play it at home set at level 8. If you set your KoF on your Neo-Geo system/emulator/console or whatever to level 8 and beat the game with it, when it returns to the title screen to do the demos the computers will be fighting each other at level 8. Pretty intensive.
I don't bet on who's gonna win but I do try to guess and analyze what the computer does. They use some techniques and combos and such that I nor any of the other KoF players don't normally use.
I do that to but in Street fighter Ex in which you could watch the whole play its kind a fun as you are able to judge character's strengths against other gaming character
