Anybody Miss Teammates Cheering?

Anybody miss your teammates cheering in the background from the older KOF's? I thought it was cool to see Joe boxing or Iori chillin'. It gave more insight into characters personality (Iori's got good hearing or is psychic). Sure the animation wasn't CPS3 quality but I liked it. What was some off your favorites? Am I alone in this?

Hell yeah! Another of my old school KOF favorite attributes gone because of "The need to move forward". Bleah!!! I'd rather have that than the Strikers anyday. Some of the characters expressions when a teammate lost were priceless.

It helped to give the charecters more personality.And thats what SNK charecters have tons of.

I loved Goenitz's in '96..... He just stood there reading a book with his glassies on! Way too cool.

Yeah! I miss that feature as well. For me, it served as a bit of a confidence booster during combat; the best part about it, though, was seeing your teammates give their victory poses when you won.

I though that feature was great also, I loved it when your teamates reacted to the outcome of the match. It also seemed like they were a support to help you on to victory, and if you lost you'd be letting them down

yeah just with that feature it told what KOF was all about, 3 on 3 with each member supporting each other. oh well the striker system has now been added. but they should atleast keep ur other two characters in the background cheering in 99, 2000, and now 2001.

That was a cool feature, it felt like it was really a team watching our teammates cheering. They should bring it back.

Yeah, I liked it too. But they're bringing it back in 2001, I thought.
