Ok, I read something about KOF 2001.
they were planning to leave some off the old charas out, charas that are not so favorite among the players.

So who is/are you're favorite charas, the ones you definetly want to see back in KOF 2001, and which chara(s), do you think, has to leave the game?

My fav's are: Iori, K', Kensou, Kyo, Terry, Athena and Ralf.

The ones who can leave are: Clark (I want Heidern back), Chin (he's cheap), Chang and Choi (I hate them, and now there is room for Kim's two sons) <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Billy Kane, Geese Howard, and Eiji Kisaragi need to be brought back... please let them be in the final roster! PLEASE!

Remember guys this one is a revival of a Dream Match, there is a possibility of Geese and Billy returning. After all N.E.S.T.S destroyed Southtown which Geese controlled so since he has no town to run, he seeks revenge. So Geese and Billy will return i guess. Eiji may return on that team, I guess for revenge against Iori.

If they did, I wouldn't even have to edit the team! PLEASE LET IT BE SO!!

... Sorry about that. I just wish my 3 favorite characters would be brought back to SNK's flagship gaming title.

I love posting this information over and over again, especially since a topic like this always draws the famed enemies of the Psycho Soldier team. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

When the whole idea of characters being brought back and others eliminated came about, Eolith decided to do a poll for the most popular KOF teams. This would help them in deciding who they should keep for KOF 2001 and who they should eliminate.

On the top spot was Team Korea (which made sense since the poll was held in Korea).

Team China was voted the third most popular team... so sorry folks, Athena, Kensou, Chin and (maybe) Bao WILL be making their returns in KOF 2001. <IMG SRC="smilies/tickled.gif" border="0">

The teams that ranked the lowest were Team Fatal Fury and Team AOF. So, if there are any changes that may be made it will be within these teams. Hopefully, they won't go crazy and eliminate someone as cool as Blue Mary, but that could be a possibility.

Of course, all of this is open to speculation... however, one thing is for certain... more Flaming Sake Belches and Psycho Balls are heading your way for yet another year! my opinion for out would be aof the whole team i hate the new robert takuma always promises he'll stay out and yuri is gettin too ryu,ken. ryo i'll leave him alone. the ff team is fine however i think terry needs a change of clothes like the ones on motw would be fine. and his gameplay is not varied i think teh eone from motw is so a little change woudl help. hinako suck period. ramon is fine but his moves are hard to learn and is not very popular as well as whip, chin, kensou, lin, shingo, benimaru, maxima. those i haven't seen them in any gamer's roster lately. so i think they shouldn't make it. on the other hand i did say lin would be perfectly if out but a little change would help him. and kensou i like the old one just like the old aof team. now they suck. a come back from the kof 96 bosses team, orochi team, eiji, brian from usa (i saw a combo that only left you in red and is not even a combo is a whole grabbing sequence) rock (a dream match remember?) john, mickey, lee from aof 2, and how come the chars from karnov's revenge and from galaxy fights never made it here. it would be intereting but in another game don't you think along with samurai shodown guys and last blade. or why not samurai shodown vs last blade. i know it's a impossible but in another game would be nice. anyhow back to where i was i'd really like to play as orochi, goenitz, and krizalid. zero and rugal were never of my taste

k' is actually a good fighter but not as doesn't have enought variety of moves like kyo to perfom an endless list of combos. and per haps not even be the main char.

What I'd do would be merge the FF and AOF teams into a Southtown Team--Terry, Andy, Ryo, and Robert.

Also, I'd probably create the ultimate boss team--Rugal, Goenitz, Orochi, and Krizalid. And if you have anything to say against that, a watery grave awaits you. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Maybe either a) bring back Heidern to the Ikari team (K's team would probably be K', Maxima, Whip, and Vanessa or Seth) or b) put someone from Metal Slug in the 4th spot... maybe Fio or Marco.

Have a goon team of Billy, Eiji, Yamazaki, and Jack Turner.

Have a Students team of Shingo, Kasumi, Xiangfei and Hinako (ever see those comics of her fighting an opponent and declaring victory under Sumo rules?) <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

Change the Guile-Robert to their version of 98 Robert ( TRUE Robert ), put the Wild Ambition version of Ryo and Ryo would get more fans.
In the case of Gesse, in the storyline is dead, since the KOF 95 The Gesse interventions ( directally or indirectally with the appareance of Billy Kane) had impact in the official history, so the appareance of Billy and Eiji (on course) have returned by orders of W.Krauser, remenber What the position of Krauser, he will can position in the N.E.S.T.S Cartel ?.

Not the Fatal Fury or AoF teams. Lest we forget one of the original draws of the KOF series...

John- that Goenitz, Rugal, Orochi, and Krizalid idea doesn't sound too bad at all.

Let's not kill anyone, IMO. I want a Dream Match. If the Neo-Geo can do Giga Power, there shouldn't be any need to dump anyone.

The next KOF participants need to be Heavy D!, Lucky Glauber, Brian Battler, Yamazaki, Vice, Kim Dong Hwan, Freeman, Bonne Jenet, Raiden/Big Bear, Bonus Kun, Zangief, and the cast of Mortal Kombat. That should be enough to take out NESTS.

Yeesh, I play too much MUGEN...

Well, it's great to have Goenitz, Rugal, Orochi and Krizalid as a team, but I think the team would be a bit cheesy. Look at all their moves, it's gonna be hard to defeat such a team, but on the other hand, who cares, as long as it's KoF 2k1 <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">
