I was wondering if there are any differences between the arcade KOF'98 and KOF'99 Dream match on Dreamcast other than the 3D backgrounds? Any extra or missing characters in the Dreamcast version? Also why did they call it KOF'99 Dream-match when it's more or less KOF'98?

They called it DM because they released it during 1999,then few months later 99Evo came out

Well the design is different, meaning that the Powergauge at the bottom is changed and with the lifebar designs. Not alot of change(I should leave this to the people who has the game, still trying to find it myself)

hmm when i played that game way back. I didn't really notice anything really different except for the backgrounds though the 2 games are the same.

A couple of my friends said that that version just felt... strange... compared to the arcade version.

It is strange because it is sluggish. It just plain is. The characters are smaller, they don't hyper jump as fast, and they just generally feel like they are underwater.
