KOF trainers

How do you get these trainers to work (using neoragex) I launch kof99 alt shift launch the trainer have no idea what to do to slect krizalid (tried putting in his number in the character select box) alt shift back to kof99 but nthing has changed... what should I do, is there an 'activate' button?

Which trainer do u got i think there r two trainers for kof99 , which 1 do u have?.

I'm using the one from KOF perfect, not sure who it's by, it's the one thaty has these options like mimi mode, boss code and others, by the same guy that did all the other kof trainers, though I can't get any of them to work, I used kof 99 as an example

Usually, it's best for you to start the trainers first before opening NeoRageX. Once you do that, choose your characters first, then immediately switch back to the trainer, input Krizalid's number in the character select box, then return to NeoRageX. You should now be able to use Krizalid.

Thanks I'll check on this when I get home.
To make thinhs clear it should be as follows:
-open the trainer
-launch kof99
-select 4 characters
-switch to trainer (before order selection?)
-in trainer type desired character numbers (that's it, no button to press to conmfirm the choice?)
-switch back to kof99

should neorage be set to arcade or consolw with or without mvs settings?

Yeah, that's it.

As for the arcade/console MVS settings...don't know. Never really tried. I usually set Console mode with MVS on, though I think it works for Arcade mode as well. In fact, I think it doesn't really matter.

hey i don't think u can launch the trainer before loading a game. cuz the game can't be launched when the trainer is running and the screen will turn blue if u try it.
i bet FCL knows very little about emulation <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
u will have to run the trainer after launching the game. (alt+tab method)

i think i just know wats ur problem, when u select your team and press alt+tab, just tell me whether the character numbers display on the text boxes cuz they should automatically display in the text boxes after the team is selected.

*loads up KOF99*

*chooses 4 characters, immediately exits, and enters Krizalid as first character in KOF trainer*

*returns to NeoRageX*

*plays as Krizalid*

*notices that screen never turned blue*

The latest trainer from kyo takagen is not ver 3. it is ver 5. <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">
just look at this picture. ver 3 was released long ago. <IMG SRC="smilies/smirk.gif" border="0">

ok i was wrong about the trainer being started before u load up the game, becuz before kyo takagen started making trainers there used to be trainers of Lick_Guy only.
Now the trainer of Lick_Guy had this problem that u can't start them before loading the game becuz they effect the game code that gets loaded in the RAM. that is why i was mistaken. <IMG SRC="smilies/redface.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

Still can't get it to work, maybe I'm not doign ti in time, by the time I alt shift back to kof99, it has just gotten to the order selction screen, is that too slow.

When I'm in the trainer all I have to do is type 32 in the 1st character selction box, nothing else, there's no button I have to push to 'activate' the trainer or anything?

u still haven't answered my question... anyway
u didn't get it. let me explain u in more details.

first off all, it doesn't matter when u come out of the game after selecting your team. u can even come out of neoragex by alt+tab in the middle of the fight.

secondly, don't come out of the game by just pressing alt+tab becuz the game will keep running inside.
when inside the game, first press tab, which will pause the game and take you to the neoragex game select screen, THEN press alt+tab to return to windows. then do whatever u want to do with trainer. and when u want to return to the game, click on the minimized neoragex window, then press tab inside the neoragex to return to the game where u left it.

third, u didn't answered my question that whenever u come outside the neoragex after selecting your team, then does your team member number automically appear in the textboxes of the trainer? (like in the above picture these are 13,26,25,2 for player1 and 8,9,10,11 for player2)

I'm now tabbing out before alt tabbing, if I do this right after selecting my team (the k shingo maxima benimaru team) the follwoing numbers appear in the boxes (after a brief delay) 127 255 65 48 , so I put in 32, 31, 30, 28 go back to the game but nothing has changed....

This is how I use that that trainer and any other ones for character changes

1.Run KOF99
2.Select characters
3.Before the order select I press TAB,and then ALT + TAB
4.Input the numbers from there

Offtopic-Anyone here who loves ver 5 of this trainer.Common Strikers at any time how cool is that

Okay...

1. Load rom.
2. Tab.
3. Alt Tab
4. Launch trainer.
5. Go back to game.
6. Select characters.
7. In Kof'99, when the order selection screen comes up, select the order but tab and alt tab out before the next screen comes up.
8. Do the stuff with the trainer.
9. Go back to game.
10. Should work and now u can piss of the CPU with Krizalid.

yeah trainer 5 is cool .it feels that we r playing kof2k but strikers r not much powerfull means maxima did'nt catch the opponent every time , and other strikers r also not much powerfull as kof2k. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

Question about the trainer -

1) How can I restart KoF in NeoRageX with the trainer on using the F1 button without it screwing up on me? Every time I try to restart KoF with the trainer I either get a blue screen or I end up with that Service Mode menu. When I try to exit out of that menu it says DIP-SW1 OFF and freezes there. I have to restart NeoRageX to get it to stop doing that. It even does this if I turn off the trainer before I restart the game.

2) What the heck does the "Combos" option do?

Go to NeoRageX main menu, go to Machine Settings and switch off the option "MVS setting on". Or after you see that freeze shot, press F1 again to reset.

Well Iie-Kyo the "Combos" option gives you extra hits on some moves.Turn that option and the "Counter" option(not the Counter Mode one)and see what you can do <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
