Uh...I think they're still trying to find the correct dumpset. LLJ should know more about this. I'm going to move this to the KOF board.

By the way LLJ, where's Manson's new Project Zero board? I kinda lost track to it...

Not trying to get nasty or anything... but FCL, didn't you go apeshit when i posted Flash 5? I see that you are a rom advocate, or at least one who does not condemn emulation. ROMs are software piracy... As was my Flash 5 post.I do not condemn emulation, but... it's kinda strange that you'd post a helpful little remark here, huh?

yeah...

It's not that I condone piracy or anything. It's against board ethics to rom beg, and exchange warez links. But talking about emulation is not forbidden. I was neither doing both. I was asking for the new site's forum to learn of the further developments of the KOF2K rom as since I was one of the donators. *ducks rotten fruit thrown at him*

By the way, NeoGML, your Angelfire account is acting up...can't see your avatar.

EDIT :: Rain: Thanks for the link.

FCL: I can get you the url to the private board but you'll need the login info Wind or Bucanero send to you.

I've asked for you on the forum two times Kamui, I guess they won't listen or something.

And about the public forum, I don't know. I never go there <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I think it was emulation that really killed the Neo Geo. Well, that's what the mailing list said when I was on it so many years ago. I think with encryption this hard, it gives us, or should I say, has given us, a few more games to play before the Neo really does die.

Good for gamers.

I don't totally agree. Anyone who really wants the game will always buy the originals, and anyone who downloads them, most likely wouldn't have brought them in the first place.

Can you show me proof of this? I know it's only an opinion, but you should watch what you say when you make up things.

The "death" of Neogeo had nothing to do with emulation. It is emulation wich makes more people to go to the arcades and besides, emu can never replace the real arcade/home neo experience, everyone knows that. Playing emu has actualy made me want to buy a home system/MVS, not the other way around.

Aiiiiii dunno...piracy is illegal and using roms is illegal. I own an MVS cab and shit, and I also use Neo roms, but there is no way in hell that I am going to try to legitify it to make myself feel better.

I'm getting sick of all these excuses that people throw around to make themsleves feel better about what they do.

I am not making excuses. I'm not trying to legitify anything. It's just that if it wasn't for emu I wouldn't want to buy a MVS with all cool games.

Maybe you should clarify your stance on the situation so I may better understand what you are trying to say.

Here's my stance on it, if you want it Rade_Kuruc.

Yes, it is illegal. But, it just isn't as good as the original. Also, a real collector will want an original cart, so he has little to no interest in an emulator, right? And a guy just browsing the internet downloads it, but he has no intention at all of getting a NeoGeo, and if he is impressed by it, and decides "Yes, A NeoGeo is well worth the money" Surely SNK have just made a new customer? Just my two cents, but it's what i believe.....

Sounds okay. But I'm the type that believes that we should appologise and feel bad every time we emulate. It's like jerking off, kinda; you do it, you cant help it, you feel bad afterwards, but you still want the real thing.

So maybe I understand you guys.
