What type of announcer would you prefer????

A guys voice (such as in KoF 2000)?

A female voice (like in Kof 98)?

Or...

A techno voice (similiar to the Capcom vs. SNK announcer)?

*For me, I would choose the techno voice, I wonder how it would sound in King of Fighters.

Also, how about in KoF 2K1, you choose your team and in the order select screen, it is like in Cvs.S, where each character is drawn in SNK form and the order select works the same way as in Cvs.S. Also, in the versus screen, it should be a cross between the KoF99 and KoF2000 versus screen.

Tekno voice like CvS is always fresh. Definitely my fave. I like everything about CvS actually, in terms of looks, music, etc. Everything except the gameplay, I hate the gameplay. And I also hate Nakoruru, hahaha.

Female voice is pretty cool, too, for 98, or like Marvel Vs Capcom 1...

Big LOUD male voice like in XmEn VS SF or Marvel Supeheroes, they're pretty cool, too...

Some bad voices? Hmm, MvC2 announcer is retarded, plus so is the stupid jazzy-type music. I like the game, though, hehe. Old School SF with their tinny man voices, they sounded pretty weak, too. Gotta be loud!!!

I have to agree, the announcer in '98 was terrific. Definitely my preference among the three listed.

Yeah, I gotta admit there needs to be a SCREAMING MAD announcer. I wish there was more of that style. Like imagine some hardcore punk rock kind of voice yelling out "LET'S ROCK!" or "are you ready? BEAT UP!" Or even just the announcer from Garou, like the way he goes "Get ready...SURVIVE!" in the survival mode was pretty cool, but I just, I dunno, wish the announcers would sound more either pissed off or very excited

i prefer the '98 style voice. it's nice and short of shouty and engrishy, (eg. "Kim! bersus- Birry!) and its the kawaii high-pitched voice without being too much of a drive-me-insane, "Learn Japanese" audio tape kind of voice.

defintely kof 96 announcer was the best especially calling the names of the fighters was really cool

i still remember the mr.big bug

We all know KOF'98 was the most successful because it had a female announcer.

Was it RBS where Kong Kuwata (the voice actor for Geese) counts down from ten to zero in increasingly panicked fashion? I especially liked when he reached the end and it sounded like his whole world just fell apart:

"GAAAAMMMEEE OVVEERRRR!!!"

ROTFL!

Oh...I like the techno voice in CvS myself.

I like the one from Real Bout Special, actually! lol

And I've always loved SF2's announcer until they traded him for a a gay big bird. I want to know that, if it comes down to it, that announcer will get in and kick ass if he has to. I like the announcer to sound like a bad ass.

What about the SF3 third strike announcer? He was funny too. Was that the first time a Black Rapper was a fight commentator or am I forgetting someone? :rolleyes:

LOL, man that street fighter alpha 3 guy had me on the ground laughing my ass of. "CAN ANYONE STOP THIS FIGHTING MACHINE?" made me die laughin everytime he said it. I disagree with the announcer on 98 though. That bitch's voic is annoying, Pikachu annoying.

Hey, I can't stand the announcer in FF3..."ready....gooooooo"...haha so funny it hurts!

KoF2k's announcer is my favorite. The voice just adds energy to a game already soaked in adrenaline.
