From your post I wasn't certain how you were asking your question but, The blood options are already open in both U.S. and Japanese mode on the original Last Blade. This of course doesn't hold true for it's younger brother seeing as the Blood,finishing moves,ect ect were removed from the Last Blade 2. If you are wanting to unlock the blood on Last Blade 2 you would need to boot your system as a Japanese NeoGeo and then change the language to english in the options menu. if you have an MVS system, turn the cruel fight on and you should get the same results. let me tell you guys someyhing. I recieved my brand spankin new copy of last bleed..er..blade CD and I must say I was NOT as impressed as i thought I would be. the sam sho series is definitely better than this. I cant go into detail now but one thing that TOTALY pissed me off were these backrounds that were supposed to be SOOOO spectacular, well when I saw them they looked like total SHIT. they were all washed out and when the camera zoomed they would break up TREMENDOUSLY. it looked NOTHING like the pics used in gargoyle 7's review.
I hope this is just a case of the carts grafics being much better than the cd's. if it is i will be TOTALY relieved. if not, I am one sad Orpheus.

Last Blade 1 is a great game. My heart is still for part 2 for the extra graphics and options. It's a hard decision, not to mention a ahrd price to pay for the home cart version.

There ARE finishing moves per say in both Last Blade 1 & 2 but it usually depends on how your final strike hits them. In Kaede's case on Last Blade 2 the bolt super tho nice and does great for juggling will not slice them. However if you do his Lightsaber Super*forget the name* and drop it on em in mid-air OR the ground, You'll get a nice shot um them falling foward and starting to split into 2 pieces. <IMG SRC="smilies/smirk.gif" border="0">

Yes, my SS loving friend- it is sadly just the CD version. I never owned a LB CD but shortly had a LB2CD. Let me give you a little story. I got LB2 with my CD and I loved the game like nothing else. I had it for at least 4 and a half months, and I probly only got 19 minutes of play out of it. THE LOADTIMES WERE HORRIBLE! And the graphics when zoomed in pissed me off. I hear ya Orph! Get and AES version and you'll piss yourself!
