Great little mind game to do with Vanessa (2000)

My roommate and I play KOF2000 on a daily basis now (the one I'm glad to get into Neo Geo), and usually we'll have pretty good matches in it. I, more times than not, win. He's been screwing with me, since he's rolling now... messing with my head.

Anyhow, I enjoy playing as Vanessa. She may well be my best character in the game. I've found one things that just drives him nuts. Mixing up her sliding punch and her 1-2. Slide, knocks them down, and so does a no combo 1-2 with the forward light punch. I played some great mind tricks with him. Will he slide or 1-2? There's a 50% chance I'm going to nail him since one has to be blocked high, and one has to be blocked low. Plus, both moves come out very fast. So I stay close to his lying down body, then surprise him with either.

Just thought I'd share this with you guys. Most probably know, but in case you didn't, it really pisses your opponent off quite nicely. ;)

anyway spike, you'll get bored of vanesse pretty soon. soon you'll go for flashy characs like jhun and kim :)

See, I've never cared for either one... ever.

As for you guys that are vets, you'd be surprised. I bet I could nail you a few times with it. ;) Both are fairly quick recovery, so if you do block, I would be pretty safe... how many times can you crush out of it, anyhow? ;)

not really spike. i forgot to tell you last time. you can counter both with Clark's/Ralf's SAB anyday. it's basically useless against them. try it :)

VAnessa is actually quite useless against any grappler, I've found ramon to be quite efective against her... <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Ramon has to be one of the all time coolest chars in the game, I mean just look at that stance... :D

No. I saw someone get punished big time for using the sliding punch. Before she got up, she got hit, and it wasn't an SAB.
