KOF 2k2 Yamazaki artwork...

I don't know about you but I think it sucks. Did you see Yamazaki's nose? In 98, he looks alright. In 2k2 (maybe in 2k or 2k1 since I haven't had the chance to play those) he looks just ridiculous. I went to Playmore site last night and checked out the characters and Yama definitely have the ugliest mug of the bunch. At least, his sprite isn't change.

I agree with you, Yama's mug is uglllllllllllllllllly in 2k2..He looks like Akuma's bastard child or something!

I think he looks cool. His personality in focus.

The art in 98 looks plain. Tou can't tell shit by looking at it. All the characters look the same but with different haicuts, proportions and clothes.

KOF 2k2 art rocks IMHO.

I like some of 2k2's art but Yami's does suck ass, and why does Iori look like a elvis reject. 2k1 had some high and low points, but I loved '94-'99's art though, 2k's looked like KoF:The Animated Movie

You are right about them drawing for a "feel" of the character but what they came up with is an illustration of some crime thug..Yamazaki is not supposed to be ghastly looking..JUST SINISTER..
The nose and Chin should have been cut down in size..i could go for some baby fangs as well..

I think Ryuji's new art suits him quite well. The exaggerated features work toward a conniving look.

Yeah hes drawn ugly, but it suits his personality so damn well. However his in-game avatar is different, more 'normal'.

I think he looks more like a retarted rather than what he is really, a psycho. However, like it was pointed in the thread, his in-game looks is fine. He should have look more psychotic. Come on, you can do 4 lines of coke at the same time with a nose like this!
