Yesterday, I started a new semester at good ol' CNU (christopher Newport University for the unenlightened). My course load is easy, and there was little downtime yesterday. I had classes at 8, 9, and 10, and I had work at 12. I ate lunch inbetween. After work, I went home.
Today, I woke up. I don't really remember waking up. I remember hearing the alarm, and then my dog barking sometime after that. I had spent last night just goofing off, trying to avoid my reading assignments. Slowly, I made my way to school.
I got to school and there was nowhere to park. Anywhere. Seriously. I'm a commuter, so Im' suppossed to get all the good parking places, dammit! I ended up parking at a little italian ice shop across the street that I frequent with my girlfriend, but I had to pay to park there all day (!). After some haggling with the manager, I talked him down to $4.
I looked at my schedule and realized I had no idea where the building for my next class was! CNU is doing major renovations and buildings, so every road is screwed up and caution tape is everywhere. I got lost in an unfinished building, got yelled at by the workers for being there, and got to class late.
My next class wasn't for 5 hours. I live far enough away that it would be a waste of gas to go home and come back, so I decided to visit my girlfriend at work (we work at the same place, a nice coffee shop by the name of Einstien's). She was suppossed to get off, but there was a early lunch rush and she couldn't. I spent about an hour waiting around, counting cieling tiles.
When I realized she wasn't getting off soon, I left and told her I would come back to get her for her next class (same time as mine). I went to the library to use the internet. Every time I sat down, some old lady would tell me she was on that computer already, even though she hadn't been there the whole time I was there! Finall, after the 3rd time (and the same old lady doing it to me all 3 times), I yelled at her and promptly was kicked out of the library, and had my parking invalidated, so I had to pay.
I was late picking my girlfriend up, so we were both late to our classes. I've got a ton of homework, and I can't even call her, cause she's got some dinner to go to.
Some dayss, it doesn't pay to wake up.
