They are not the best at KoF...

Sorry people I accidently hit the post new topic button, or whatever it's called.
What I wanted to say is that, the ON.COM guys are good but they are in way the best.
About beating us guys, I really don't think so.
I'll challenge any one of them to a match, under these terms,
1.ALL RANDOM{IF THEY ARE AS GOOD AS THEY SAY THEY ARE, THEN THEY SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO LET THE COMPUTER CHOOSE THEIR CHARACTERS}

2.INFINTES ARE ALLOWED, BUGS TOO, THOUGH I WILL NOT USE THEM. MY HONOR AS A GOOD PLAYER TELLS ME TO SHAKE THE HAND OF THE PERSON WHO BEATS NO MATTER HOW HE BEATS ME, WHETHER I HAVE A BROKEN BUTTON, BROKEN JOYSTICK, DEFEATED BY INFINTES, BEATEN BY SKILL OR TIME.

3. BEST FOUR OUT OF SEVEN, ANYONE CAN GET LUCKY ONCE OR TWICE, BUT FOUR TIMES, I DON'T KNOW.

4. NO WARM UP TIME, IF THEY ARE AS GOOD AS THEY SAY THEY ARE, THEN WHY DO THEY NEED TO PRACTICE BEFORE A GAME. I HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GAME IN WEEKS AND HAVE RETURNED BETTER THAN I WAS BEFORE I QUIT.

5. One last thing, If I am winning, and the opponent is on his last guy, I will make it a one-on-one-final-round match. I don't care if the opponent doesn't. I'd rather he kill me. I LOVE THE CHALLENGE OF PLAYING AN OPPONENT ON A FAIR LEVEL OF PLAY.
Though I might lose, it will be all for the fun of it. There is nothing to do in Hawaii in terms of KoF. So I want to find something new to do, in terms of KoF of course.

Hmmmm isn't this kinda old? I thought the pissing contests were long over.

Does it matter whether a few of the ON lamers wish to challenge you? Forget it....

ON and NG like any boards consist of people from different countries. When did boards hold the mojority of good players? That's insular thinking there my friend.

I just posted that because someone recently stated that the ON.COM regulars would beat our regulars. Also that in Hawaii, there is nothing to do, in the KoF, much less the Neo-Geo scene.
I mean there is literally nothing to do here. What I like here in Hawaii is the weather and a very low crime rate.
I am thinking about going up to Japan for a vacation and stay up at one of my relative's place.
I just dislike people who claim their combos are awesome, like their seth combos, and joe striker combos, and the easy type{almost anything with ryo, syo, maxima, shermie, yashiro, robert, vanessa, ramon, another robert, kula, cool choi, rugal, benimaru, eiji,} that I can do with one hand.
If someone can do them with one hand, there really isn't much skill invovled is there?
I did state that, I'd be playing for the fun of it. It would be an opportunity to see how other people play the game.
Anyway, If this idea is old, I'm sorry for bringing it up.

Guys, I said I was sorry for bringing it up, now the subject should be closed.
I never said I WAS GOOD or BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. What I did say, was that I can do the simple combos with one hand, and that find that those combos do not have much skill invovled. If I can do them with one hand, you guys could probably do them too.
I always try to make it a five round match, cause no one likes to throw away money. I don't like to either, but I find it more fun to play a game to the wire.
Yeah, I'm full of myself, but if it makes you guys play better than it's worth it. I bet you're pretty good Sakuraba. Aren't you?
If I ever come cross your path, I am going to challenge you,if you don't mind, I'll pay for the game or games, and buy you a grande chocolate frappucino afterwards. I'll let you laugh at me, after you kick my ass. I suck, I really do.

Well, I consider myself an excellent player, LoL. No one has never ever beaten my Kim one-on-one!!! SHIN, come to Mexico, we have some great players here, and it seems there are kof machines every 100 ft. Mexico is one of the countries if not the country with the most kof machines!!!

That was me who said that. And this is coming from someone who never goes anywhere on ON besides KoF Gameplay and spends far less time there than he does here.

I still think this is true. The two sites are naturally different:

NG.com is meant to be a site devoted to the Neo-Geo. NOT SNK, NOT King of Fighters, but NEO-GEO. And note how this board tends to have a lot of collectors who aren't as much into fighting games.

Orochinagi is a King of Fighters fansite. It has quite a bit of combo and touney video, and on its board you can find links to other footage found. By nature, it attracts the types who are more interested in KoF competitively. Also noteworthy is that ON has a higher concentration of countries that are big on KoF than NG does.

And don't forget that KoF2k champion Maan/KOFMaster has over 200 posts there and is a mod.

So I am still led to believe that they could beat us. That's not bragging from an ONer here. I've been very critical of ON in the past; that's why KoF Gameplay and their videos are all I go to there.

It was just my honest opinion, one which still stands.

I also just visit Kof gameplay at on.com, he,he. Man, they never have contests near the El Paso TX area. I bet I could get a real high ranking maybe even 1st place, he,he. I am real confident with my abilities, man, I need a good challenger.

Right now we're desperately trying to get a little Neo tournament scene started here in Ohio, and our chances have been threatened by the fact that the guy who owns the game store we all go to might sell the place. It's hard, I tell you...

Wow a Kof Machine every hundred feet or so. God here in Hawaii, there are now only two machines on this whole island, from what I've heard. One of them is supposedly loacted in a university game room, which I have never ever been to, I don't even think it even has KoF 2000. The other is located at the arcade that almost every gamer goes to.
To accomodate to ADA regulations, they removed many of the games and have clustered the remaining games together, so that there are aisleways for wheelchairs to get through.
I suck though, I really do. I'm not being humble either.
But Yamazaki, your excellency, if that's okay with you, if we play a game of KoF, let me pay for the game, like I posted to Sakuraba, we can go pick up a starbucks coffee or something{I prefer Jamba Juice though}. If you are as good as you say you are, which I don't doubt, then it will be a pretty good afternoon for KoF.

Indeed, it would be a great afternoon for KoF. I'm not saying I'm the best of all, but I think I'm real good at KoF. I also just play for fun like you SHIN. I choose random, I pick whole teams, I pick theme teams i.e. the pink team in '98 Mai, Chizuru, Shermie and Andy lol. I haven't tried playing one-handed, but it sounds like fun. I think I play my best at '98 with my best team of O.Yashiro, Iori, and my best char. Kim. I like playing aggresively. For example I knock you down with Kim i.e. you jump at me I do down-up B/D, I jump at you while you're bouncing on the floor and do qcf D as soon as you get up, even if you block you get block damage. Man, only two KoF machines? That sucks. Well, hope to hear from you soon.

Even if there are 3 machines that's still not enough. I think people don't play arcades at Hawaii that much because there other things to do like surfing, volleyball, etc. Here were I live we can't do anything like that, I live in a desert area, that's probably why we have so many arcades. Besides kids, like me, grew up playing arcades, and now that we've been playing arcades for so long, we just can't get enough. Anyways, that's what I think. BTW SHIN, arcades, even the newer ones, over here cost between 1 to 2 pesos, that's like 10-20 US cents. Talk about cheap. I know some US arcades cost a whole dollar, that's expensive!!!

Only the best for you, Sakuraba, for you man, a hyper grande Venti.
Hey Yamazaki, Don't forget about the 98 Versace team, Gold Yashiro, Gold Daimon, Gold Takuma/Gold O. Shermie.
I like 98 the best.
I'll ask Leviathan, if he still has some videos of some of us Hawaii guys playing{ beating down people as well as being beat down} on tape. You might not be impressed though.

It's true though... ON.com turned traitor a while ago. At least I think so. Since it went down, it's never been the same. And what the hell is with the damn registration sequence?!? I tried... got pissed and didn't finish logging in. And to make it worse... IT'S FREAKING PURPLE!!!! AND NOT OROCHI PURPLE.. GENERIC PURPLE!!! Can you tell I hate it? Besides, Iie-Kyo, the traitor.. isn't as good as he thinks he is. He hasn't had any arcade battle experience this whole summer! Hell, I CHALLENGE HIM!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

urge to kill.... fading... fading.........fading...

(TV, 'And now... live with Regis and Kathy Lee.. I mean, Kelly!')

urge to kill... rising!......rising!.....RISING!!!

I will sponsor that series, Gennosuke.

The Almighty Gennosuke vs. The Technical Iie-Kyo.

If you want to set this up, I'll see you guys there,on Tuesday August 21, in the afternoon, after my college registration.
Best four out of seven.

I will get rid of anyone who interferes with this battle.

Maybe when the smoke clears. You guys can come down to my family's shop and eat some sushi or something.

I forgot to add this, I kinda of miss watching you guys play, I mean, how many good times we all had, playing KoF, laughing and even getting upset sometimes.
For old times sake, we should play a mini round robin tournament, with Leviathan, Iie Kyo, Gennosuke, myself, and the notorious godfather of Brian's billiards.
Some of the Chinese guys came back to play KoF.

We should do this before we all part ways again. Then only the Godfather will be there by himself.
As of late, I've been feeling down, about the future of our beloved Brian's billiards, I can't say this enough...

Guy let's do this one more time...I am going to fade away from the Brian's scene once school starts, even if KoF 2001 makes it to Brian's, I just won't have the time to play.

SHIN, I would be honored to see your videos. I wanna see how you play. I'm also glad you like '98 the best as well. Man, It sounds like you Hawaiian guys really had a good time playing KoF *sigh* I also made some of my friends that way, in fact, I just came home from my friend's house. I took my dc over at his house and we had a great kof afternoon. Unfortunately, no bastard gave me a challenge. They always fell for that jump in then special grab trick, he,he.

Yamazaki, if you are ever in Hawaii, I'll challenge you, I bet you would give us guys some fun down here.
Not to be conceited or anything, I feel much better when I put the idea of being the best technical player in Hawaii, to my number one rival, the Godfather of Hawaiian Brian's.
I say that Leviathan, Iie Kyo and might actually be evenly matched. Though they won't say so. It's all in the head, if you think you can't win, when the one single opportunity to grasp victory comes up, you'll be too worried about losing.
Call it arrogance, but I call it confidence. In anything in life, if you make the opponent believe he can't win, he usually won't. Also, if you make him believe he'll win so much, he'll get caught up in his own momentum, and he'll end up beating himself.

That is very true, if your opp. thinks he will lose, he will most likely lose. You gotta have Confidence my friend! SHIN, everytime I challenge a guy for the first time, I pay attention to how he plays first. I find his weak point, then I proceed to whip his ass! SHIN, what types of characters do you like the most? I like grapplers the best.

If you ask any of the Hawaii guys, I play everyone the same way. I don't know how to define how I play.
I keep the simplest philosophy of all, one must crawl before he can walk, and walk before he can run. Therefore, One must know what he wants to do, before he can even do something he understands{how can someone understand something without experiencing it firsthand?}, then with his understanding of what is happening, can he branch out from what he knows.
If I was forced to pick a group of charcters for a match, I'd have to pick King, Benimaru, Iori, and Yashiro striker, but I would prefer to play all random, even if it meant losing. I have to have fun, if not I'll just play something that will entertain me.

Wow, nobody bothered to refute you huh? Heh

I don't know, combo videos don't mean squat. And though I'm impressed with Mann being the 2k champion in the middle east, I've seen better. Though I think that to judge someone from a video is one thing, the fact that he was playing the french champion makes the video a better summation of his skills.

Critical of ON? I see.....well a great deal has gone down the drain after the planet dreamcast boards went up.
