KOF2000 Airblocking

i know it's possible to airblock, but how??

i heard that you can airblock by jumping backwards, but i always get hit by Ryo's giant fireball of gayness attack when i jump backwards.

Could someone help me out?

I think u can block in air only on up jump not backward jump. well try this

Actually they got rid of air blocking after kof 98'

You can airblock only when you jump backwards. You can block normal moves and fireballs, but you cannot block (S)DMs (i.e.Ryo's giant fireball of gayness, maiden masher, etc.) But, like FDPL said, they got rid of airblocking after '98. I personally think forward jump airblocking sucks *cough*mvc2*cough*.

There's air blocking in 99 and 2000 as well, but it hardly happens so it might as well not be there.

Though if you want a sure fireway of blocking Zero's cape, just jump straight up, then hold back. That will show you the air blockin.
