How come the machine doesn't pick edited teams anymore?

It hasn't happened since '97. And I wanna know why the CPU doesn't edit its teams anymore. Anyone here also wish they could play vs. an edited team in the later KOF's?

the reason is cuz the battles are following some sort of storyline.yeah 97 had a storyline but its not as involving as kof 99 and 2000.Do u really think k wants to team up with kyo and iori? or if iori wants to team with kyo? no way! the cpu is just following the storyline pattern.the fatal fury team,ETC...Can't change that.kof 97 don't really care about the storyline that much since it had the same ending with any team u finish with unless u use chizuru,iori and kyo.But in 99,every team has different types of ending.Now the CPU juz follows this pattern. <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">
