If you want a great manga to red read KoF 97 or Kof 99 those are my favorites.
Zillion is just good because it has the best art work.

If you look online there's TON's of different KOF manga's. Really sick (and some good) ones out there. And the funniest part was when my girl saw it, we went through it and laughed our asses off. Screwed like minks afterwards too

As of this moment, I have -every- one of the KOF anthology, and 4-Koma gag mangas, all, but 2!!! My bookshelf has over 130 books in this collection, and it's taken me 2 trips to Japan to finally come this close to finishing. These mangas are my KOF passion, behind KOF cosplay, of course.
If you are able to still order these on online web-sites, DO IT..All of these are out of print, and the -only- ways your going to find them anymore are going to be the random Ebay auction, or if you know a friend who's selling some. OR...Go to Japan, like I did, and comb all the used bookstores, like Mandarake!! You'll find them there pretty easily, not to mention REALLLYY cheaply!
I've also got about 10 Fatal Fury mangas, and about 3 Art of Fighting ones. Plus, the one-shot Geese Howard manga that was made, giving his whole history as a child, up to killing Jeff Boagrd. AWESOME, if you ask me. I also got about 8 of the SNK Vs Capcom compilation mangas that have come out, so far.
AS far as manga artists who draw KOF, my fave has to be Ryo Takamisaki. He's got it all: A very clean, likable art-style, and a good eye and hand for drawing the fight-scenes.
Don't get me started on doujinshi...*lol* I have WAYYYYYYYY too many KOF ones, and 50% of them are utter CRAP. I'd get it for a great/beautiful/cool cover, and you can rarely judge doijinshi that way, unless your sure of the circle your buying.
Oh, and yes...I like the boy/boy H-doujin...
