using a 100% bug combo with iori and clark and creatively creating some nice combos with jhun and ends with a lot of dragon steps and a nice air DM ;)

My was seeing that you can combine King "strike" and Takuma´s Haoushikououken to blast the dropping opponent out of the sky!

Happened in kof 98.
Me and my opponent were in a fast and furious match.I won the match with my iori in the end.I can't really give the specific details cos it was a super fast and thrilling match.I love challenging people at that time when kof 98 hit.It was the best kof no doubt. Also the best kof in terms of pure combos, not combos with strikers cough*kof 2000*cough.

wow.
i guess i can tell my age.
since all of you guys are picking out 2000 memories :B
my most incredible memory was when i was in North Carolina Fayetteville
and i was at the mall..
i played fatal fury 2 a bunch and by then had
fatal fury 2 on snes..
i grinded my fingers to the fucking bone trying to
get supers in that fucking game.
its dam harder on the snes pad for some reason.
but finally got it to where i could do supers.
but anyways. i went to the mall with my parents and played kof 95 against
this one dude.
i picked the fatal fury team of course and the fight was very close.
finally it came to his last man and terry, my point man.
i was almost dead and he was doing a little better on life than me.
...

the man jumped.

towards me.

and i did the power gyser like you wouldnt believe.
i couldnt fuking believe it.
i cheered because i was so fucking amazed i actually pulled it off.
the guy must of thought i was a geniune ass but he
was a gentleman and probably seeing how young i was he congratulated me
and played another time and then left.
this was the first time i ever pulled out a devestating move at the right time.
i was so happy. it was the first time i really ever
won against a human opponent in kof.
i mean i won against the cpu before but thats nothing really...
eh..
heh..
...
cheers.

The best KOF moment?

When I finally beat the hell out of Neo, a famous local player in my city.

He had kicked my ass all evening long on the KOF '98 -AES- and I went like:

"Ok, this is the last team vs. And I'm gonna win it..."

I picked up Chin, Kensou and King and actually won! He didn't even let me win! The guy nobody can beat here was finally beaten by me, an abysmal player!

'Twas very funny and Neo congratulated me.

Winning in a team vs is always gratifying...

When my dad was stationed at an Air Force base in Korea and he called me back in the US and asked me if I wanted some Import Games. One of the games I asked for was the PSX KOF 98 and once it arrived I played the hell out of it.

Hmm, I think mine would be the first time I saw KOF95 in the arcades near me. We had an MVS hooked up to a HUGE bigscreen, and one day I went in there... POW! KOF95. I was blown away (for I never heard much about Neo Geo in my area, and I didn't know about the KOF series before this). I saw all my favorite players in the game. I saw a hole bunch more! I was like "what is this game, look at all the people you can be!". I was amazed by the selection of characters. We played it quite a bit back then, back when I only knew the moves for characters that I had played as in the other games. What great memories. :)

Best KOF moment? Probably the first time that I played KOF '94, back on June 4th, 1995, at Claredon Kaliedescope (located in northern Virginia). I was amazed by the number of characters, the music, and (of course) the gameplay. I played for about 15 minutes (as the Psycho Soldiers Team) before I encountered my first human opponent. He chose the Female Fighters Team. It was a tough battle, but I pulled off victory with Athena (my last remaining fighter), and watched as my opponent left in anger. I was thrilled; I actually beat someone my first time around. Since then, I haven't had a real thrilling moment (I never got to play KOF '95-'99 on MVS, and the three times I played KOF 2000 against human opponents [in Chinatown Fair] I got creamed).

My best KOF moment would be when I
beat my best friend Kevin in KOF 99.
He put up a good fight but nobody beats me
when I'm Kyo.

The time - Sometime in September, 2000

The place - Putt Putt on Military Highway, Norfolk, VA

The game - King of Fighters '99

The Situation...

This guy had been playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for quite some time, handing all his friend's tails to them one at a time. So, nicly, I challanged him to a game that required more than button mashing. I promptly beat him.

Unbeknownest to me, another guy I played with occasionally (but had never beaten) was standing behind me this whole time. He picked up the continue credit and smiled. I thought it was over. It started off horribly. My team of K', Terry, Shingo, and Andy was looking rough compared to his Terry, Shingo, Joe, and Whip combo (he taught me Shingo, so I feared his Shingo ability). Round 1 was His Terry vs K'. I have never been beaten as K' so fast before in my life. I mean, I'm not great, but I'm pretty good with him, and he finished me. So then it was my Terry vs. his Terry. It was a hard match, but in the end, I triple guysered him to oblivion, though my Terry's health was flashing red. His Shingo was next, and it was not looking good. But, he missed a combo, and I caught him with Andy as my striker, and juggled him with a triple guyser. Somehow, I survuved as Terry and beat him. Last was his Joe. He killed my already weakened Terry in about a second.

It was down to My Shingo and his Joe. Long battle, and I used the rest of my striker stock at a few opperune times, and used one of SHingo's SDM's well. BUT... he screw uppered me where I had one hit left. Had I blocked even, I would lose. He started a Thai kick or whatever, and I called Andy... right in time. Andy took the hit and stopped the attack, allowing me to run in and juggle him with a few punches and kicks for about 4 hits. When he landed, he was hurting for health, but still had an SDM left. In true theatrical fashion, I pulled my last SDM where Shingo runs for his opponant, SECONDS BEFORE he launched another Screw Upper, and was so close it missed me, allowing me to pummel him into submission.

I felt pretty darn good the rest of the day.
