Well, I think 2000 is the best one right after 98. I don't see why so many people don't like it. Honestly, what is it that's such a turn off? Yes, strikers are a bit weird in KOF, but I like them better in this than I did in 99.

So, what's the problem? Actually, I'm not asking that. Who here thinks 2000 kicks ass? I do! :P

I have had my kof2000 locked away in its mvs kit for weeks now, i played it for a few days and was bored shitless, i played shodown 2 for 6 years and i still aint bored with that, anyway I got it out of its box the other day to give it anoth go, i played one round and of it went back to its box, i really think this game is shit, i like 94 98 and 99
people are so different though, so many people love MOTW but i think its too easy and not enough characters and finishes even on hard level within 20 minutes. i think ppeople love this game so much because they can complete it,
any way thats my two cents

Spike, if you've read any of the Fran vs. NeoGML KOF2K wars, you'd know that i am a HUGE supporter of KOF2K.

Uh, yeah i like KOF2K. I simply love all of the new characters, and strikers are cool, but i'm indifferent to them beside the fact that they can be extremely useful ass-savers and combo boosters.

K' is my favorite character of all time, which is half the reason i love KOF2K so much.

Yet, i think 98 is better. (And for the record, i never, NOT ONCE said that 2K was better than 98.)

Although I've played it only a few times in arcades, I enjoy it greatly. I like the variety of new strikers and options; makes it more diverse than KOF '99. As soon as I return home again (sometime in early March), I'll make sure to play it a whole lot.

Edit: YAY! My 500th post!

I like 2000. People talk about it like its crappy or something. Sure its not the Best, there are animation cuts but, I do however think it is very imaginative.

I like the "Real World" gritty look instead of the cartoony atmosphere that many people are accustomed to in KoF.

Most, if not all of the moves are there (give or take a few) and there is very little holding you back from doing crazy ass combos that you couldn't do before.

SNK tried to do mainstream fighting. For me, everything that SNK put out wasn't mainstream, it was classic.

I will always like "The King of Fighters" no matter what year it is.

Boom,

I think I remember you saying animation cuts before. The only one I see (not counting some moves that are now gone from 98) are things like Terry's CD attack and the lack of intros for certain characters. What else is missing? Not much, that I can tell.

I'm pretty sure it was me, cause i know i had addressed the animation problem before.

uh....

oh right, Cowboy Bebop kicks ass, but i think it's somewhat depressing. the only episode i didn't see was #1.

i like it alot considering its the only kof game i have ever gotten any real arcade competition since like 95. thats probably why im not big into 98 as most of you are aside from a few times ive only played it single player

i love the menus and the artwork..the speakers on the cab i play on are set WAYYY to low so i know nothing of the sound of the game

on the whole i like it alot

KoF2k is the whole reason I got a Neo*Geo AES. I remember playing the game saying to myself that the game was cheap because of the strikers. But playing it more, it just got better. I bought the Arranged Soundtrack for KoF2k and the Jap KoF2k AES. What can I say, I love the game. But KoF'96 will always be my favorite.

whatever happened to KOF 97, that's the best one ever, then comes 98' then 94,95,96,2000,99. i like 2000, but it does seem to get old easy. i found 2000 at the movies the other night, played it for an hour and a half, and was sick of it. still better than a lot of other fighters out there. but 97 the atmosphere and the music etc. so good.

Kof 2000 is great!
It has some of the problems from 99' fixed such as slow uncomboable supers and improved moves.
The striker system is 2000 might be abusive but it can be fun as well. There is always an option to turn off the strikers if you want.

KOF 2000 is a darn good game!! I like the game tons better than '99, and can't wait to play 2001. I'm not even mad at the fact that Zero shot Southtown...
