I use to play takuma since 98, the dm is damn good for anti air, and the haouken really did a good job for being 1 of the most chicken in the kof series!but still i like that very much, don know y the maker hav to change the haouken n take out the zanretsuken and syorankyakku,i think this should be the end of my fav TAKUMA!

HI there!! Welcome to the boards!

Yeah, I hope that Takuma will not be that fucked up.

Takuma is the strongest KOF art of figting character ever, without those moves I hope at least they can introduce again like in 98 the ability to choose the older version of the characters. ;)

.... What??? <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" /> How could you even compare Takuma to Ryo or Robert? When has Takuma ever had a dedicated aerial counter in any KOF game?

Sure he's got the crouching C uppercut, but so do the others. Not to mention how many combos you can pull off with those jumping uppercuts that Takuma lacks, especially Yuri's since hers can be doubled. His thrust kick also has to be charged unlike the others, excluding Robert's '99 charge commands.

Any master with Ryo or Robert would kill any Takuma master, especially in '98. Don't even get me started with King...

Ryo's or Roberts are no challenge to me against Takuma.

For air attacks, you can use the Zanretsuken move.
For ground attacks, Shoryankyaku is not possible to defend.
The Hao-Shokoken can be hold for seconds.
The shipukaku mid air move is sweetly perfect for combos.

And there is one thing that he's even more unbeatable : HIS anti-air special. No other character can even compare. ;)

The standing far B kick.

All the anti-air Master Takuma really needs.

Personally, I love having a Shoto style fighter that can kick you ass with some cheaply, overprioritized uppercut move to rely on.

I will miss the Hien Shippukyaku, Zanretsuken combos. Those were, and still are my favorite combos for Master Takuma.

I'm not liking the fact he has Butt's cheesy Hien Shippukyaku either.

Yeah, with Takuma '98 in advanced mode I could beat the whole game in level-8 with straights only.

I think Robert needed the change most of all, from moves all the way daown to his outfit. Spanish playboys went out in '89

Ok but all I'm saying is the man needs a hair cut or something, I can only take that spanish coke boy seriously when I'm beating him down. Ryo does need a change though, he gets more like Ryu every year but now he looks like Ken

I agree that now he's kinda sucked after they remove/changed his moves, especially the fireball DM. on the other hand, i'm excited to see how this 'new' Takuma will perform.
