Just what-all exactly is Iori supposed to be wearing? What kind of getup is that? Are his pants legs roped together? Is it some kind of traditional Japanese thing? I've never seen a shirt cut like that. It looks like he put his clothes on in the wrong order and forgot an undershirt. Heh! <IMG SRC="smilies/cool.gif" border="0">

Anyhow, I'm sure someone can enlighten me.

err...I'd like to know too!

at first it seemed a bit gimpish, then real cool like. Now I'm just confused. Whatever, I'd wear that partial eclipse get-up anyday!

Like Shina said, it's most likely grunge. Some of the other costumes actually reflect the character a bit more--

Kyo's old costume is supposed to be a schoolboy's outfit.
Terry sort of looks like an 18-wheeler driver (imagine him saying "three breaker niner" in his SNKglish voice--"Heavy Metal Queen")
Benimaru is a big glam guy, so he sort of looks like a cheesy '80s hair musician <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">
But Iori... I think he's just supposed to be Kyo's polar opposite.
And as for Angel... what's with her outfit? <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Actualy irois belts do have a specific name to them...unfortatly im not sure what there called....i forgot......but they are a real style.....though i would wear them.....i ware regualar leg belts though.

Iori is all style my friend, and dont say shit like its some japanese get up. We have better taste. Even though Iori does look kool. Anyways hes wearing a white dress shirt, black coat, and his red pants are like cowboy pants. Early '90s Japan was heavily into the punk culture, and Iori is just a reflection of that, I guess. If you've ever seen pics of Japanese teenagers then (and even now) there's alot of that style with oddly-designed clothing and hair.

You can still find bondage pants in Japan. Seriously.

Of course, they only fit up like size 30 waists.

Japanese are smaller framed people, so you got to undeerstand, they have cool clothes we can't wear. sad.

Anyhow, I saw the bondage pants in Harajuku. There's a lot of cool stores around there. But the pants are like 20000 yen. So bring your Visa, because they don't take american express.

visa, it's everywhere you want to be.

Iori is a Sex Kink...so he wears bondage pants.. keep in mind though he doesnt take it in the arse if that's what your thinking.. he's just kinky when it comes to women. he isnt gay.

Actually, his pants are a type of punk-pants. I've seen them here and there.

But I guess you could call his style toned-down visual-kei. Since he is a rocker, and almost all japanese rockers are visual..

do you think iori would have been so loved if he had not had that cool suit design i mean i simply love it and i think his bondage?/punk/grunge look must stayyyyy forever :)

Plus kyo's suit now is cool, why was he dressed up as a school boy?
