is 2000's Kyo more powerful than 2001's?

I haven't played 2001 that much, and I've been playing 2000 recently. I was just curious.

I wouldn't say that. Technically, i think 2001 kyo is a bit stronger because he has some moves that 2000 Kyo hasn't.

what makes 2000 Kyo powerful is because of the help of strikers.

As far as DMs are concerned, kyo in kof 2000 is better. He has that qcf, qcf+C DM which is pretty useful.

As for combos, kyo is kof 2001 is better. He has some wicked supercancels and some new moves especially that qcf+A follow-up with qcb+A and then qcb+B which is useful as a juggle ender. And his qcf+C has a follow up move at the end which has more hits than the normal version and more damage.
I don't find kyo's SDM in kof 2001 that useful as the damage is low and it looks like a rip-off to iori's.His DM in kof 2000 was better.

I like Kyo 2000 more than 2k1 Kyo. That's qcf, qcf + A/C DM is a great move, especially on wake ups. 2000 Kyo's qcf + A chains are far better than Kyo's 2001 qcf + A chains. Just the fact his kick chain ender is too good in 2000. I'd agree with Striker being 2000 Kyo's friend. But I'll say this too, Kyo 2000 is nasty in counter mode with or without strikers.

What makes kyo 2000 stronger than 2001 and by far is the auto guard when he performs soome moves like qcf+p and dp+p. In my opinon kyo 2001 needs to be really well played to be efficient. Moreover he lost his great dm 2*qcf+p what a mistake........

Kyo just got really boring after 98. He doesnt seem as strong to me. And I miss the running neck choke...(hcb+k)That was a bad ass move. 2000 Kyo seems better than 2001 kyo..especially with strikers.

I think Kyo 2k really needed the strikers to get over(can't believe I said that) but Kyo 2k1 is a combo happy bastered

kyo in 99 is the strongest
his close C is just too wicked
can be use against air, crouch...

in 2000 kyo + seth is plain bitch
when a good combo player gets you a punch even at your full life your dead

2001's kyo seems to do lower damage to me. his punches and kicked doesnt do as much. (3 player and 1 striker)
his new sdm is cool. kyo is hard enough to play against. now with a second-time grab

Hi ray_7, how do you get to know the infinite hit move for Vanessa in Kof 2001? <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" />

I've done it once.

**Crouch b, f+a (1 hit only), cancel with qcb+a, repeat from **.

I couldnt agree more, his fire punch super in 2K was great as an anti air more often than not. It had the perfect arc up when it hit to throw the chracter outa the air. I think if he had it in 2K1 though he would be a bit overpowered because I feel his overall character is better in 2K1 as far as fluidity and combos.
