I would like to thank you all for treating me as your equal. KoF has had it's up's and down's. I hope you guys and gals, can continue to enjoy KoF the way I did.
As I played my final match, against Iie-Kyo, I kinda see in him what I'm feeling. That the game is running out of steam. That either way winning or losing it just doesn't matter anymore, cause we were not having fun.Even in the challenging state, I don't outrank him by much, in terms of skill or anything, but the realization of two great competitors, finally came to a halt.
I don't even want to touch another KoF arcade machine as long as I live. I still play once in a while, but only if I'm passing the time, trying to get rid of my tokens, or while waiting for someone or something.
I was in self-denial,people. Thinking that the game would maintain it's level of fun. So from here on in. I will retire my boots from this forum as well, since it only makes sense that if I quit the game, I might as well quit the forum.
I respect all great players who do not take shortcuts to win. For the artists are more respected than the scholars, who learn from what has been proven through theory, and not by experience. That is what seperates a scholar from an artist.
I respect all technically unlimited players, who can gain the respect from other players without being flashy yet posesses variety in their attacks without being overzealous, the simple but boring way of playing gets it done.
I respect any player, lose and admit it. When they have been beaten fair and square.
Lastly, I respect those, who can do all the things I mentioned above and retain a level of fun.
That is why, I must remove myself, for I will only be a problem. I will only disrespect the people I play the game against or talk about the game with, if I can't have fun talking about it{ the more memorable moments of it} not the technical questions people ask me, or things I have to do to prove that people are wrong, from what I've learned through my own experience.
All you guys thanks a million.
