Is it me, or does KOF seem so much less fun when...

Hey:

...you're fighting the CPU?

On my lunch break today, I went down to the Silver Coin arcade at the mall. This arcade is the only one I have seen in the entire state that has KOF 2000. So I was really looking forward to fighting someone, like another human being. Well, that didn't happen and I fought the CPU over and over again, and I continued getting more annoyed with the fact that fucking Chang kept doing EXACTLY what he needed to do to counter EVERYTHING I did. And I've noticed this a lot with KOF games, less so with Fatal Fury...they aren't nearly as much fun to play against the CPU as they are against another person, mainly because of cheap-ass tactics and bullshit combos.

I've been playing these games for years and I think I am pretty good, so I'm not just some newbie getting bitch-slapped by the computer. But in my opinion, if there was ever a fighting game meant for two people, its KOF. Anyone with me?

I'm with you SakurabaStyle. KoF is much more fun to play against another human being than against the CPU, unless the other player uses cheap tactics. But, I don't have to worry about playing the CPU much. Everytime I go to the arcade, there's always like 10 other people waiting to play every different KoF, except 94 and 95.

there are a handful of players up here at edmonds CC. imo the difficulty set at southcenter seems like 8.
opponents i seem to have the hardest time with is:
Yuri (throw, throw, roll throw, sho-uppa)
Robert (instant reflexes, i do crouch b he does super)

yeah, i almost hate fighting the CPU. i try to play with my friends as much as i can, too bad that doesn't ahppen as much as i want it to.

No it is not you, the game is no fun, if you aren't playing with a purpose, sometimes I find challenging people who aren't in the same skill level as I am either boring, cause I beat them with relative ease, or lose to them so bad, that it was just a waste of time to play.

I don't give a FUCK if I lose or win, the game is always fun. If I win, I feel satisfied and I laugh at the opponent, if I lose, then I know I have to train harder, so then I can laugh at the ones who beat me before.

Heh,I understand how you feel,I never get challanged because the game is not popular,so yeah I gotta play against the CPU.A human opponent is always better because unlike the CPU it wont always do the same thing over and over again and a human can learn from his/her mistakes,CPU doesn't have that luxury <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Oh and don't worry bout the CPU,CPU in fighting games is almost always cheap,especially SNK games! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
