Ryo is creating constant problems for me... can anyone give me some tips? i HATE THIS FUCKER!

Also, Ryo's butt-buddy Robert is so fucking annoying. how do you get past him?

I'm using Jhun, Kyo, K', and Iori.

Well KOF are you talking about?KOF99 or KOF2000?

If it's KOF99 on lvl 8 against Ryo,he always like to run towards you,when he's doing that,do a command throw on him(with a grappler)

As for Robert,your pretty much screwed in KOF99(projectile,anti-air,projectile,anti-air all day and night)

Ryo is an easy cunt in KOF2000,most of what he does is just like his KOF99 counter part

Robert on the other hand,well beware of his charge down,up + A/C and never jump at him unless you know it's safe.Try not to AB roll when fighting him too,he threw me to death on more than 2 occassions

I think you're keep losing to him because you press the buttons
without much thinking...sorry if I'm saying BS..

Anyway..
Many of ryo's moves come out really fast.
Do not easily jump attack unless he is down.
Do not jump attack when he is NOT in the corner.
Keep your guard tight.
Beware of his roll & throw when you guard.
Use combos which begin with down + weak kick or weak punch
rather than doing combos from jump strong kick.
You should know Juhn's basic combo of
Down WK WK WP Kuusajin combo...

Hey forget about Ryo, in kof 2000 robert is some shit whenever you make a mistake he punishes you and he does it badly and dont even think about doing a move near him cause his QCF x 2 + B/D Dm has got invincibility and he uses it as an an antiair + it could pass through your moves so beware

I HAVE GOT TO AGREE WITH ALI JONES HERE. ROBERT IS SUPER DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY IF HIS QCFx2 B/D DM KNOCKS YOU DOWNWARD AND NOT BACK, YOU CAN HIT THE OPPONENT AGAIN,THIS USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN A STRIKER INTERFERES WITH THE DM.

RYO IS TOTALLY AWESOME, BOTH AS A STRIKER AND AS A CHARCTER ON YOUR TEAM, FOR AN ULTRA DEFENSIVE PLAYER RYO CAN BE LETHAL, HE TOO CAN DO THREE MOVES IN SUCCESION WITHOUT TOUCHING THE OPPONENT, WHICH CAN BE QUITE CONFUSING, CD, FORWARD B, INTO THE QCF B,FLYING CHOP.

DEPENDING ON HOW GOOD THE RYO PLAYER IS, RYO CAN BE A PROBLEM,BEING VERY AGGRESIVE, OR VERY DEFENSIVE{ DOING A WHOLE TON OF DOWN AND C, QCF A/C, OR EVEN ADDING A DOWN B BEFORE THE C.

I KNOW OF A FEW COMBOS WITH RYO AS STRIKER, BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.

Ryo? I hate this creep too, around here the people who use him never attack, they wait for you all day. And when a miracle force them to attack, the only thing they do is jump-in C, low C, qcf+C. His attacks can be very annoying, but when he turtles is the worst. So far Ralf is my specialist in breaking his ass (CD attack, command throw all day). Robert in the hands of an expert can be deadly, but a good K', or Leona (at least she works for me) can send him to hell.

basically both AOF teams from 99 and 2000 are pretty stupid. all i do is dodge and go behind there back and do a grappling slam and repeat. and basically dont jump at all. they will go old skool shoto on you. i know ryo can be a total ass, but it just takes sometime to beat them.

Ryo is one of the players more fakes, stupid and ridicouls that have enter in the KOF, is used that the average players that use a easy combo but didn,t many combos and best recurses that Kyo,Terry and K´because is a traslastion of Dan Hibiki, since ´99 have less power with you plat it, on the other hand the AOF team play hard that other KOF´s , in 2000 the AOF team with Kasumi and Yuri had more headaches, more difficult and very cheap that another character´s, the Robert-Guile and Kasumi deserve the hell with his cheap tecnic and infamous combos, <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0"> I hate the Ryo ultra-defesive who uses his typical shoryken and attack less, you can waiting his attack for beat his radiactive-dirty ass.

if you want to know a cheap way to
get rid of him

the CPU AI for ryo is
so unforgiving
that sometime i resort to
that..
..
this method should take out
ryo w/o any problems
