Orochi power? whats so great about it?

What does Orochi power exactly do to people? Both Iori and Leona go nuts when it goes into them but chris, yashiro and all those people don't. What is Orochi power? what kind of power ups does it give people? if anyone can help me with this thanks

I think is just because Orochi forces Iori and Leona to transformed but not the other three, I might be very wrong.

Its mainly because Iori and leona aren't pure Orochi blooded That's why they go all crazy(I can give you a better explanation if you want) :D

if you could fully explain it to me i'd be very greatful. Me and a couple freinds are doing a King of Fighters RPG and we need to know how the Orochi power fully works.

Its basically like this: Chris, Yashiro, Shermie and five other characters such as Yamazaki and Goenitz, and some others I can't think of right now were the original people who served Orochi, as in their clan and family was with the beginning with Orochi. Iori's ancestors were friends with the Kusanagi clan who slayed Orochi, an eight headed serpent, and protected the emperor of Japan. For reasons unknown, the emperor gave the Kusanagi clan his wealth and the Yagami clan none. This pissed them off and soon became bitter rivals, Orochi made a deal with them in that if they kill all of the Kusanagi's, they will achieve ultimate power but obviously they haven't. Leona got it when her parents found the gates of Orochi(they were archaeologists) and were killed by Goenitz. Somehow Goenitz passed on the Orochi blood to Leona.

Basically what Orochi blood does when "activated" is that their abilities are increased, such as strengh, speed, and agility. The problem is that anyone with Orochi blood has a decreased life span. The reason why Iori and Leona look like their in pain and crazy is because they weren't the original servants of Orochi, unlike the New Face team who was with Orochi from the begining.

Whats with the certain Orochi abilities? such as chris using the flame and Shermie using the lighting? Also who is the KOF character Orochi?

I'm not sure about their Orochi abilities, I'm guessing it's their special powers when they turn into Orochi form. Orochi was originally an eight headed serpant whose physical form was killed but not his spirit, he was some kind of god that wanted to destroy humanity and rule the earth. If you didn't know, Orochi was the boss of KOF '97 although it was only Orochi taking over Chris's body.

Oh yeah, Rugal also has Orochi blood also, thats why he's always coming back. If you want me to explain how, I'll send you a PM.

each character that was an original Orochi "guardian" had certain powers with them such as--

Yashiro-Earth
Shermie-Lightning
Vice-mirror
etc.

no, no, no...it's like this:

The Orochi was an eight-headed serpent, right? Well, there are Eight members of the Orochi family for each head, and they have evil powers in their blood. They are:

*Chris- Fire
*Yashiro- Earth
*Shermie- Lightning
*Vice- Electricity, for some reason...I think she's darkness, really
*Mature- Light, even though she's evil
*Yamazaki- The mountains
*Gaidel, Leona's father- Water
*Goenitz- Wind

Iori and Kyo's ancestors both vanquished the Orochi Clan 1800 years earlier, but 660 years afterwards, Iori's family, wanting power, struck a pact with the Orochi in which they gain dark powers, but shorter life spans. That is why Iori has Orochi Blood, and that is why he and Kyo have such a rivalry.

Goenitz, in the 80's, wanted to re-awaken Orochi, and riled up the descendants of the Orochi clan, except Gaidel.

Gaidel was against Orochi because he found so much in the Human world, even marrying a human woman, and having a daughter, Leona. Leona was half-human, half-Orochi, so her blood is not fully Orochi, making her prone to Blood Rages, which her body cannot handle. Goenitz knew this, so to get back at Gaidel for refusing to help him, he made Leona's Orochi blood go berserk, and she killed her father and the rest of her family.

Goenitz succeeded in summoning Orochi, and Orochi needed a body to host in order to take a form. He chose Chris, who was one of the Orochi family. That's why Chris turns into Orochi.

What ShikiMikoto said is true. I knew most of what he said but didn't remember the smaller details. Now that you mention, I do remember that Leona did killed her parents, thats why she seems to be so damn serious all the time(she's still sexy anyway :D ).

I read the story a million times and all that was mentioned is about true. Except the splitting of powers between the six of them that I never heard about.

After defeating Geonitz in King of Fighters 96, Iori got raged and killed Vice and Mature. For some weird reason (a legend I believe) orochi can only be defeated if one Kusanagi, one Yagami, and one Kagura fighter fought together. So Chizuru, Iori, and Kyo went to fight orochi. I believe Kyo got really messed up in that fight so Iori had the final touches in defeating orochi. After that, if you noticed, Iori got control of himself and no more raging crap.

To come to think of it, I really like the way they did this whole KOF thing. First a dream match (94) then orochi saga (95-97) .. then a dream match .. then NESTS saga (99-2k1) .. now a dream match in 2k2 .. I wonder what's next <img src="graemlins/drool2.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool 2]" /> <img src="graemlins/drool.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool]" />

thankfully this isn't that hard to understand. I'm glad i didn't have to ask about the NESTS saga. Where we have the clone of the clone of the genetic alteration of the test tube baby or some weird shit like that

According to the storyline, Iori's ancestors, the Yagami (yasukani, pre-Orochi pact) are the "Shield that binds." And Kusanagi is "the Sword that strikes(?)" I forget what Kagura is...

Anyway, what that means, as interpreted from Kyo, Iori and Chizuru's ending in '97, is that
Iori must hold Orochi, as in shielding Kyo and Chizur from Orochi's attack, and Kyo must strike Orochi with his flaming OrochiNagi fist.

Chizuru, um..."The Mirror that Seals" yeah, that's it..has to seal Orochi with her Kagura Mirror while Kyo strikes Orochi.

Hope that wasn't too hard to understand. It's a little past midnight here and I'm not thinking in a very linear way...

You may be right. They all killed him. I just remember reading that Iori got the honor of getting orochi at last

To quote Chizuru, they couldn't kill Orochi, only contain him. Even Orochi stated he can't die as long as ones with Orochi blood exist.

I've heard like 3 different elementals for Vice. Electricity, darkness, and mirror, but I kinda lean to the possibility of nature.

She loves animals, but hates humans... ::shrugs:: Which elemental is she? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
