this game wasnt the highest on my list to get, butI found it on ebay relatively cheap, so I picked it up. I have heard some mixed reviews on this game. Some say it is the greatest some say it sucks. What do the people on this board who have played it think? Any good?

I actually agree with Fran kof 99 and 2000 are piss easy while no 94 and 95 are both very difficult against rugal anyway
I got kof 95 just last week on holiday on mvs and have not played it since i had it on neo cd, i forgot how hard it was,
i won all team matches fine but after about ten attempts against rugal i gave up for the day, i even actually had his level down to an inch left with my first fighter against him and still managed to lose <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">
it has some neat backgrounds and it is a very good game,i just love the bar stage <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

KOF'95 does rock... immensely.
I actually found it to be a bit easier than KOF'94 lately. I played '95 and was doing fairly decent (110,000 points). I went back to '94 for a few games and didn't do so well.
SNK did step '97 up over '96 difficultywise.
In '99 it doesn't help so much that you play only 5 matches. That makes it a little too easy to get a 1-credit clear.

kof 95 on the NG and saturn were pretty hard but the psx version was damn easy.i played every version on it and on the psx version,i completed it on the hardest difficulty but in the saturn and NG versions,its a no walk in the park though.

Kof 95 has no cool or flashy combos to speak of.I feel like a newbie everytime i play it.when i play some of the later kofs like 98 or 2000,i feel like an expert,hehe...
In fact i would say '95 is the hardest n most interesting of all!
1 WRONG move u'll b COUNTERED by deadly moves like Rugal's Genocide Cutter during MAX that can really KILL u especially both players MAX n 1st move damage.

after a standing puch or kick, xecute a command slam far enough would result an IMMEDIATE recovery no delay in xecuting another move!
My hands r really busy!
