Its a shame it wasn't released as a home console, would have blitzed the PSX and Sega Saturn.

Still, its a great piece of kit to own if your a fan of SNK games. When you see that its actually good it does make you wonder "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" After playing Fatal Fury on it for about 30 mins, I was thinking "hmmm, I want to see KOF"

Sadly it never got the recognition it deserved.

I wonder if Warrior's Rage 2 would have been a decent game if made for the hyper...

Probably... I still think it wasn't as bad as everyone said it was, the thing about that absolutely pissed everyone off is that it wasn't a port of SS64 1 or 2.

Maybe that too man.

But the gripe I had with Warriors Rage II is the polygon counts is not that high and the render is very bad - then again how much can you expect out of PSX anyways. If they did Warriors Rage II on Hyper Neo 64 with the even more poly count and much high quality render of the chars much like in Asura Zanmaden, I bet that game will be two thunbs up with a Z twist!

I agree with you guys, it would have been aweseome to see it released as a home console. Hell, I love FF Wild Ambition, while I know most people hate it. I still play my PSX version of it every now and then. =o>

yep. It's like an mvs, in that you can switch games onto a motherboard. As for the games, imagine metal carts. Not plastic - metal. I looks pretty bad ass, but it's not a really bad ass system.

i played FFWA on it at an arcade, and lemme tell ya.
I did not like it at all.
I got really bored in the second round and just ended up leaving the machine.
I imagen the SS game is cool though.

If you were raised on Rival Schools and Tekken then of course the Hyper games will put you to sleep - they are anytihng but hyper. Action is usually slower, backgrounds aren't that impressive. That was definitely the case with Wild Ambition. FFWA is my least liked in the hypre fighting package, right behind Buriki One. The SS games are tops because the backgrounds are so good (and the control is better IMO). Of course, if you disregard speed, Rival Schools is not much better than FFWA.

Sounds like you played if for how long? 1 match? Before you got your Hessian hiney hacked up? :P (no racial slurs here, it's all in good jest).

SS Warriors Rage 2 is a pretty bad game. I agree the control left a lot to be desired. It simply didn't feel like a neogeo game, and after Asura Zanmaden, it was unacceptable.

However, we got Yuda, Tohma, and Seishirou Kiku (Kuki wasn't cool, but Kiku was the mad ass kicking two bladed shiznit).

I think we could go for hours on end about what was wrong in SSWR2.

Ok. Lets that with the gameplay. The way the fighting stops when your lifebar hits certain points was ridiculous. And then the progression takes too long - I don't mind a lot of fights, but when you have to fend off 6 amazon morons and a bunch of retarded samurais I think I'd rather go to sleep (not like they could hurt you in your sleep anyhow ).

Your turn.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Wasabi!

But I got all secret characters in SS Warriors Rage 2 + the whole gallery except 3 pictures and all Intros and movies.

Even you can not do this by one match.

Ummmmmmmmm... it sounds like the both of you are talking about the PSX version. The HYPER VERSION IS NOT THE SAME AS THE PSX version. Two completely different games.

Duh! I know you have to clear the game with all characters, locked and unlocked, and frankly, the game is a little too repetitious to expect any "sane" player to trudge through it.

Only a crazy hessian like you owuld suffer through that game to the point of unlocking Seishirou Kuki. I cheated.
