So my second guess was right - you hve to win with every character. Doesn't matter if you continue, or if you play on easy mode. After you win with all the original characters, you'll see the blank space replaced with "original karate"

I'm gonna try this someday, when I won't feel the urge to play FFWA or Samurai 2 for a LONG while. Since beating the game with everyone in Buriki will be a chore, since I can't stand using some of the people, do you have to just beat it? Or beat Silber with everyone?

you have to beat Silber with each character. This means that you can't continue until you get to the last match - then you can continue against Silber.

I'm wondering if there is a way to cross wires, like with the test mode switch, that will unlock characters - kind of like how driftking ex mentioned with FFWA. Is it worth sacrificing a hyper board for...

Yea that was a freak accident that happened to me with FFWA, all the sudden Xangfei was there, and I had never earned her.

Damn Silber with everyone, hmmm that makes me cringe. Even with my best fighter Ryo and Python, it took me awhile to beat his cheap fcking ass.

I can't even imagine beating him with charatcers I have no intrest in playing, like the russian wrestler nikolay or whatever his name is.

I havnt plugged FFWA in in awhile, im hoping maybe I triggered something in the cart and Xangfei is up permenatley. If she IS, then i'm gonna try and duplicate this trick in Buriki. Its almost enough to make you wanna have 3 hyper boards, so you never have to change out carts and lose your saves.

Actually, I found that I'm much more into the fringe characters now. Of course, Python holds my speed records. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

My favorite characters for playing style are Takato and sokolov. Ducalis comes in third. But Takato is incredible. There's something all too gratifying about making an opponent flip with a chop to the neck or ankles and then dislocating their shoulder.

I remember when people were speculating the presence of buriki girl as a playable character. Takato is the closest thing to a female in that game.
