Anyone know where I might find some footage of these games? Especially the Samurai games and Buriki-One? I've been dying to see these things for ages, and yet I've only ever seen one 15-second videoclip of Asura doing a DM... and that was hideously tiny, to boot. Heeeelp meeee... o.o

I can probably get you video of warrior's rage that I took with another member, chainsawyak. PM me your email address, and I'll talk to him about getting it to you (I'm pretty sure he still has it on his cpu)

aw... I used to have a bunch of footage I made myself on my capture card. It's currently on my work computer since I cleaned out my school account. I should repost them.

Evil, you should. I have the games anyway, but I think it would be really cool for other people to see them that have never even laid eyes on a Hyper 64 game.

I've been vaaaaguely considering looking into buying an HNG64 for myself... what sort of cost is involved? Bear in mind I have no arcade hardware at all.

And if anyone wants to provide HNG64 videos (hint hint), I could host them for a decent while...

I never seen the game in action but it sounds like its real good. I saw pictures of Tohma and Seishiro, and Im wondering what they look like in the game. The characters in Warriors Rage look to inspiring. Makes me wanna draw some samurai's kinda.

Vektorlogic has a special deal where you can get the HNG64, both SS64 games, Buriki One, and Wild Ambition, all for $300+shipping.
Then, a Supergun will generally run you in the neighborhood of $300-400, depending on where you get it from.

So, probably about $700 will get you a HNG64, four games, and the means to play them on a TV or monitor or such. :)

Hope this helps.

I don't have many of these since I cleaned out my school server after
graduating, but the second hanzo video shows a couple of his chain throw
sequences.

www.samuraishodown.com/hanzo2.asf (asf is a windows media format)

I made the second video about a year after I made the first one. You
could probably guess that by the difference in quality o_O

You can't have them, cause your a spammer.

Wasabi because I have not gotten around to it yet, I'm working on a Hyper section for my site, but it's not a priority (I hardly play my Hyper anymore), and I could really give a fuck all if people here don't get to see a Hyper running. You wanna see it so bad? Buy one.

I have Hyper screenshots and reviews on my site (more than ANY other place on the net I might add), that should be good enough for now.

I have a site too, but my site has priority lower than anything else on my list. I think I place studying above working on that site.

Wow, that looks neat. :) Urge to buy HNG64 rising...

Can anyone recommend a decent, not-so-terribly expensive place to get a Super Gun?

if you can afford almost $400, I highly recommend the Sigma 6000. There are a few people ont he forums here that can sell one to you if you request it in the Wanted Forum. I thjinkj Kiselgof was selling his recently. I am selling my old Sigma 3000 for $250, but I really recommend the 6000 because you can use neo sticks.

Otherwise, you can contact nikke at nikke76@orion.ocn.ne.jp and he might be able to sell a Sigma. The other option is to contact MAS and get the $300 supergun, but their quality makes them the Ikea of Superguns.

$700 all told for a Hyper and 3 (or is it 4) games? That's steep... is it REALLY worth it? :/ Give it to me straight here... I loved SS3 best in the series and didn't like 4 much at all. Will I get a lot out of the games?

HELL YES!
Listen, when you see Genjuro in SS 64 2, all the money you spent will make sense.

I mean, maybe not all the games are that great - I only play SS 64 and SS 64 2. Wild ambition and Buriki one just don't do it for me.

I also love SS3 the most and left SS 4 last in terms of SS games I wanted to acquire. SS4 is okay and good for when people come over and just want to see the whole series, but when it comes down to what I want to play on the neo geo home cart system, SS 3 is perfect. Now, the pace of the fighting isn't as fast as SS3 in any of the hyper fighting games, but the action is still damn good. And you can cut off Nakoruru's and Rimururu's arms.

By the way - if you aren't completely into the manuals and boxes for home carts, you might want to seriously consider MVS - it's a lot cheaper, and much more reasonable, especially if you want to play hyper games and MVS games :p

Hmm, that's true. If I get the SuperGun, then I can purchase an MVS cheap and get lots of older games for relatively little...

Hmmmmmmmm. How much do MVS systems run?

You can get a MVS (whatever slot amt) for anything from $100 to $200. Other than ebay, posting in the wanted section here would probably send you a good number of offers for a MVS motherboard.
