Just got my Hyper! Yay!

Got my Hyper today (Yay!) with Buriki One (Ya . . . Oh :( ) It seems like a cool system. Very sturdy. Jeeze, the thing is like Mil-Spec. Anyway, I can't wait to pick up the Sam-Sho's. In the meantime, I'll try to figure out Buriki. It's a cool game, but what were they thinking with the controls? "Push A to move back" WTF? Screws me up. Also, the last boss is quite cool, BUT it took me forever to beat him! Tough Mo-Fo! Is he playable as a secret char? Oh well, just excited that I finally got a Hyper and wanted to share it.

Congrats on your new acquisition. I think the final boss is playable, there was a lot of talk on that a year or so ago but I wasn't into Buriki just then. I was into the Samurai 64 series... it is the pinnacle of the hyper and what it's all about, get them both!!! :cool:

Yea he is, thats what that empty slot is at the bottom of the character select screen.

But I have never gotten him, maybe because it's so damn hard to beat him with some people, characters like Ivan, who I hate and never play with, would be impossible for me to beat him with.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I got Silver by beating the game with every character. It's kind of worth it just to see his other costume. But then you change games and lose all the work you put in to get Silver. Is it worth it?

You got him by beating the game with every char?! Well, guess I have some work to do. I'm almost there, but I struggle with a few of the char. Actually Drift King, I somehow managed to beat him with Ivan, and yes, it was really tough. Whenever you shoot-in Silber does a double ax-handle to your back, then jumps like 8ft in the air and comes down with a knee on the back of your head. HARSH! To answer your question Tora, I traded some other PCBs for it which I basically got for a song. I really made out for a change. Jedi, Sam Sho's are the reason I bought the Hyper. I can't wait to get them!

A little tip for those people who haven't realised it yet.

Certain characters cannot hit you if you simply block, namely Ryo and Silber (neither of them have grapple techniques) :D . Stand back...block, wait for them to perform a move that has a long recovery time and then strike.

The only exception to this is if you fight Silber with Ryo. With Silbers double jump kick, the 2nd kick connects even when you block.
