Hi,

I am planning on getting the Hyper 64, but I was wondering which monitor res it requires? Does it work with the std res or is it mid res like Sega Model x games?

Thanks,

- T

Hi, it is mid res just like MVS...

The hyper is standard resolution(15k),so it works fine on a tv via a supergun.Where as most model 3 pcb's are medium resolution(21k).(i.e VF3 etc)

Actually, MVS is std res. But are you saying that it is the same res as the MVS? Huh, I would have preferred it to be mid res, but I can live with std.

Thanks,

- T

scotsman_jp,

Do you know if I can play VF2 and VF3 on a TV set with S-Video via a Vega Jr (Jpn Supergun)? I plan to buy the Hitachi switchable resolution monitor, but I would like to test out my SEGA games before I do.

Thanks,

- T

As long as the display device supports medium resolution and you have a model 2/3 to jamma adapter, then in theory you could play VF2/3 on a supergun.

The hyper is standard res, just as 90% of jamma games are, it will run on any rastar monitor.
