New Hyper Games???

I heard that this new SNKNEOGEO company would also produce hyper games along with crystal system games, but does anyone think this would be feasible? Arcade owners dumped the hyper64 a long time ago, and new 3d games would be outclassed by more modern boards, while the crystal system will do better in the 2d department. Any thoughts on this?

True, and those metal cartridges...a class of its own. I was talking from an arcade operator's point of view- it seems the only market for hypers right now is home users. <IMG SRC="smilies/crying.gif" border="0">

I can see your point if its from an Arcade owners side. After all, people want to see new games that look nice...Virtua Fighter 10 anyone? <IMG SRC="smilies/makeface.gif" border="0">

Mind you, if its gonna be aimed at home users I won't be complaining <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0"> The arcades around me have never been anygood...last SNK game i saw in my area was Burning Fight... /me launches attack on arcade owner. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

im going to be opening a arcade in the near future and im sure that a new hyper neo game wouldent be much next to tekken 4 or vf3 but also it wouldent cost much either..i plan on having one hyper cab just cuz its sooo cheap and i think a good ammount of ppl would play it just because around here its never been seen before

i dont expect it to get as much play as a newer game (in local arcades vf4 and tekken4 actually get like NO play everyone is into cvs2 and mvc2) but the boards themselves would be FAR cheaper..and wasint it said that hyper neo had good 2d power? and that has never been put to any use..who knows maybe it could rival naomi in the 2d department
