Hmmmm.. Never was able to try it out. I bought the cart only for $70 if I remember correctly. Unfortunately I could never track down the driving MB.

This is the full conversion kit, and before you ask... sorry I cannot give out the name of the supplier.

If you mean the 4x4 SUV racing game, it was pretty OK. Didn't look quite as good as Sega Rally, but I remember that it ran nice and fast (good framerate). Basically just another arcade racer. Nothing particularly special about it.

I'm hoping it will be a nice distraction while I await my Daytona 2, Sega Rally and Star Wars Trilogy.

Thanks for your opinion.

Cool that your getting a full conversion kit. You should contact Video Connection on more driving software. I know they have the other driving title. Well congrats on the kit, I gave up on my 64 search.

I could have sworn there were 2 titles. I know Kelly told me they had 2 different carts available. I think the other one was called Extreme Rally.

There are two racing games on the hyper.

Round Trip RV/Road's Edge

and Off Beat Racer/Xtreme Rally

Those are the Japanese and US titles for each game.

Both will run on a normal Hyper 64 board, the catch is you can't play them, because only the driving motherboard has connections for a wheel and pedals.

When I had my Roads Edge cart, it wouldnt load on my fighting board. I cant remember the error off hand, I think it said "Machine Code Error" (looking at past emails).

Thanks for the name of the other title. These are full kits that include all cables, marquee, mb, cart etc.. so I'm not worried about compatibility. They have a Road's Edge cabinet 30 minutes from here, however I've already spent enough money this christmas season.

The kit is worth $350, its the shipping that kills. They have been available from Cosmic or Chloe forever, but who wants to pay another $200+ for shipping. If they are available stateside for unde $50 shipping its a good deal IMO.

I'm not worried about shipping as it's going to a friend in Melbourne Australia.

After he's done with the game it's shipped to me.
