How many would be interested in a NG stick->DC adapter?

it'd basically let you plug a neogeo stick (not pad) in and use it on dc.. it'd act as the 4 main buttons plus start on the dc side, so it'd be good for any 4 button games like the SNK titles. it'd also have a VMU slot.
how many would want such an adapter, and how much would you be willing to pay?

Hey if you could do the reverse I would pay for it...so you could use a dreamcast stick on a Neo and a VMU instead of the regular memory card. That would be awesome!

Arakon, I'd be interested in that for sure. As for how much to pay, I guess that depends on the materials and final product. I would guess at least USD$50 for a high quality product . . .

I'm with jbeedham here, I'd rather have something to hook up my DC controller to the Neo Geo. I've got some badass control pads...

What about other systems?
Like say using it as a ps/2 keyboard passthrough adaptor?
Id love to be able to use an unmodified neo stick on an IBM.

I currently can only go one way, NG->DC.
as for VMU, that's simply impossible to use as memcard, an interface to convert it over would cost more than all the memcards you could ever use and need in a lifetime and the memory configuration is different too.

Yyyeah, a NG->DC adaptor would ROCK, Arakon!!

Don't know how much I'd pay for it... Guess $80/160 DM would be my highest bid...

A NEO > PC would kick some serious butt, either through normal gameport or PS/2...

I'm very interested, if it's quality I'd pay $30-40 bucks. No better controller then the old skool Neo joystick.

Very interested, Arakon! $25 would be nice, maybe $40 for 2? But first...

Question: Are the Neo buttons interpreted as X,Y,A,B? If not then what?

It's a great idea. The DC pad is a piece of crap

$49.95 sounds reasonable.

I have to totally agree that a NG>PC adapter would be super-swell as I am just starting to get into kaillera and I'd prefer it for Street Fighter (yea, I know 4 buttons/6 buttons but I rarely use the Mediums *unless I'm Chun Li*) and MotW.

sweet deal man. got no Neo sticks, but if i could get a converter like that for a reasonable price id pick some up, cause the dc pads just plain suck for fighting games

alright.. first prototype, need some final tests first.
NeoGeo Start ABCD = DC Start ABXY.

the cases are handcut, so the holes aren't perfectly shaped.. it's not like I have professional machines to cut them, my trusty dremel and hotglue will have to do. they don't look perfect, but they're sturdy.

Yeah, it's not too hard to do, you just rip open a DC controller and attach the pin outs from the Neo pad to the solder points on the buttons on the DC pad.

The only thing that's really hard to do with DC is to have the L-R buttons hooke up to a home made stick, because they use some kind of depth sensor to send the analog signal to the system, but for the 4 buttons and start.

Peace

Looks great so far... also one question I forgot to ask, does NeoGeo select = DC C? The reason is otherwise the stick could not taunt... which I do occasionally.

Edit: Actually from a gameplay standpoint, maybe the taunt should be on Neo start and DC start on Neo select? I'm fine either way, but does any one else have an opinion here?
