Shenmue 2 is rumored to be on the X-box next year. I don't know if any one has heard abot this yet, but I stumbled upon it earlier today, and thought that it would fit here.

Aaaarrrraggghhh!!! ALL the dialogue is in Japanese! I HATE subtitles. Why couldn't Sega be bothered to translate the speech? I'd have been more than happy to wait just that little bit longer...
And where's this movie disc? I got a factory sealed copy from HMV and there's definitley NO movie disc included.

I L-O-V-E subtitles. The dub in the original was the worst thing ever. The people who decided to dub Senmue should be punched in the face, and the dudes who couldnt be bothered to dub the sequel deserve knighthoods.

Disk 4 contains the "digest movie" of chapter 1, (Shen Mue 1) and "Shen Mue Collection" where you can play mini games!

I couldn't agree more - the dub in the original Shenmue is really cheesy (although not as bad as the dialogue in the original Biohazard/Resident Evil), but I find (and I KNOW I'm not alone on this) reading the subtitles distracting.
The subgames - Out Run, Hang On etc. - have to be unlocked in the main game b4 you can play them "on their own" on the 4th disc.
As for the "movie" it's just cut scenes from the 1st game - nothing new!
Don't get me wrong, Shenmue 2 is a TOP, TOP game, and anyone with a DC should get out there and BUY IT NOW! <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0">

Wasn't the "movie" released as a stand alone disk in Japan?

I think its actually really nice of Sega to release it in the EU, and add the extra disk in, with the Movie!
Its about time we get something!
Except for the shit end of the stick!

I'm still pretty pissed about no MOTW in the EU!
But Headhunter and Shen 2 are softening the blow a bit <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

It is pretty cool that UK DC owners finally gets some releases to be proud of, but its all too little, too late...
But, Shenmue 2 and Headhunter have made a good swan-song for Sega's retiring console... If only Capcom would release Capcom vs SNK 2, and Agetec gave us MOTW.... <IMG SRC="smilies/crying.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/crying.gif" border="0">

I think I can answer that one for you. The original release date announced by Sega Europe WAS 30th November. However, much to our (europe) pleasent suprise Sega brought the release date fwd by a week to coincide with the UK release of Virtua Tennis 2.
Nobody knew until the last minute, this was toatally unnanounced. So hopefully you guys in te US will get your copies earlier from your importers.
As Metal Slug says, it's a superb game - worth every penny. <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

I preorder Shemue from europe as well I agree fully with Head Hunter. This week was a rare oppurtunity for me to spend some gaming time and I spent almost 12 hours completing this game. Now to see what extra happen after you complete it.

I hope though that Headhunter is ported over to other consoles as well so others can enjoy it that are not DC owners. this game is a great hit and deserve all the money it can bring in.

Shemue 2 I will wait on to see when it ships.

I personally hate subtitles, but I can deal with them as I did with "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" but the words distract the viewer from the scene, you have switch from reading and watching, it's a constant bother for me and others, I presume. <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0">

P.S. I heard the U.S. Shuemue 2 isn't coming out on DC.

Sub-Titles aren't a massive downer for me.... Panzer Dragoon Saga on Saturn was in Japanese with Sub-Titles, and it didn't lose anything.... the storyline remained totally immersive, and the gameplay still outstanding.

Probably a stupid question, but will UK games play with a Gameshark? 'Cuz now that Shenmue II's been canceled, I have been REALLY angry, but this would be great if I could buy UK import and play (with some English language) it on my DC. So will it play?

Someone else said they are playing it with a gameshark.
Basically it has the 60hz option so if your DC is made able to play imports, it'll play this one!
