As far as I've heard with ALL future AES releases, each and every game is "unlikely" to come out for the simple reason of the small margin on them. It's been no secret from the very beginning with SNK that the majority of their profits stem from MVS, not AES. Both are essentially the same "guts." This being the case, SNK charges 5-7 times more for the MVS than the AES, hence the profit margin is higher.
So what does this all mean? Simply, for the U.S. market, Shawn is the driving force for all future AES titles. SNK NEOGEO JAPAN CORP. will not approach Shawn, just because SNK doesn't see money in the AES, so Shawn will have to basically pull their teeth to get more AES titles out.
Whatever Shawn's price is on each of the AES games like Sengoku 3/Metal Slug 3 is his business, but I'm quite sure that he is taking a loss, since I know the "cost" of an MVS cartridge, which is less to make than an AES title is.
This being said, he is pretty much keeping the AES alive....with the support of the AES collector's who buy from him as well.
Anyhow, I thought I would share this insight with all of you.
As for future titles, besides Slug 4, "Rising Dragon" will be coming out in April/May. This is the versus fighter sequel to Double Dragon and from what I've heard so far, it's supposed to be the next hit. So far, KOF 2001 is a sure winner, so one thing at a time.
