SUDDENLY IN TWO ARCADES I FOUND A 4SLOT ON EACH WITH KOF 2001, MS4, SS AND BSTM, YOU GOT TO HAVE IN MIND THAT THIS ARCADES NEVER EVER HAD OR HEARD ABOUT THE NEO BEFORE
Plus you could tell that the inserts we're faker than Britney Spears breasts.
'Thoughts.......~~~~

Are you serious? O_O.

Though it's not impossible, it's odd for an arcade to hear about the Neo just now.

Actually I'll go take a look at these tonight seeing as both of these places arn't too far away.

You should realize that both MVS games don't have Mini-marquees made for them so I wouldn't be surprised if they made their own.

Also there is a chance these titles coul dbe bootlegs but you'll never know unless you get a chance to look inside the machine and see the cart itself.

Either way I'll look and see what the big deal is about.

Do they have any stores that sell Neo Geo AES games overthere? Because here in Dallas, there isn't a single store that sells the home cartridges. Believe me, I have looked

lol No they don't but I think he meant it in the premise that the MVS carts were bootlegs seeing as NGF is well known for their brand of Executive Class Big Tymer Bootleg AES games.

I don't see what this has to do with NGF. I live in pennsylvania and I've never seen a 'real' insert in any of the seven neo machines in my favorite arcade.

I talked to the manager about it, durring a deal for some older MVS titles, and he said that basically they get them used and go to kinko's. He then showed me some of the larger marquee's in the place were fake as well. It's a hell of a lot easier to get just a board or cart than it is to get a kit. With business dropping off all over, it's just standard practice to cut a few corners and save up for the holy grail of 'one new game per month'.

My opinion of NGF not withstanding, I just doubt they drove all the way to texas, where they don't live, so they could pirate MVS games, wich they don't do, for your local arcade.

There are lots of scammers out there, and some people just trying to hang on. If I were you I'd be happy that there were new neo machines at my local arcade and keep my mouth shut.

appreciate your local arcade. You'll miss it when it's gone.

well, Makismo, it is true. I don't know that they actually rip people off, but they are well known for it either way. It's the perception of reality that's killing them.

I've never dealt with them. I don't do AES, so I probably never will, but I've been on the net looking and neo stuff for a while, and they *ARE* well known as scammers. True or not.

The best thing they could do for the business right now would be to change the name and start over under different names. I don't know how bad thier product is, but if it were anywhere near as bad as I've been led to believe they'd be in jail by now.

which arcades are these? i'll see if i can check it out, if it's sega city i know a guy who works there and he could probably find out. if i tell him what a bootlegged cart looks like. (even i know how to tell and i have no mvs) or like bonus kun said they didn't come with the marquees and thus they had to make their own. if they are bootlegs it's probably because the owner couldn't tell, he just bought them.

Japhie-

To tell if one is a boot, take the 4-screws out. Anything that looks like it was done by hand, or any wires, and it's a boot.

Real SNK carts all have 'SNK' silk screened in them. None of them have any wires in them that I'm aware of. Also, SNK DID use some EPROM chips, but never made a cart that used ALL EPROMS. Most boots apparently did.

As far as I know, there's no good way to tell otherwise.
