No serial numbers and come in white plastic casings. Ive owned both these MVS carts and they both came in black plastic.

My knowledge of MVS games is extremely limited but I was under the impression that the color of the plastic on the games really didn't have much to do with.

If I say 100% SNK they are 100% SNK. Just because Pulstar is in a white case does NOT mean its not original.

Super Dogeball is what it is.

Whit, you shouldn't have jumped the gun saying that they were boots only for the color of the case, we know every game can have every color. Check:

<a href="http://www.neogeousa.com/kof2k1/kof.html" target="_blank">http://www.neogeousa.com/kof2k1/kof.html</a>

And shiftyfink, anyway you are way too ambiguous in your auctions. OK, so if you say 100% SNK then it's real. But please, if it's a boot, just say so, do not say shit like "is what it is" or "I cannot say if it's original or not", or just not mentioning that is 100% SNK (so from now on I'll just interpret in that case is a boot). But people must know that clearly, so just don't be ashamed to say so.

That's my opinion.

I wont claim to be an MVS expert but Ive owned both those MVS carts and they were always black and had serial numbers on the cart sticker. These dont have either. I very well could be wrong if so my bad.

I have a white Pulstar and it is the real deal.

Mine is a SNKG cart which are all white.
These were used as rentals for operators in japan

I would suspect thats exactly what you are seeing there

Actually I think all white carts are SNKG carts

Ok here is the deal. You can not sell bootleg ANYTHING on Ebay. Well with Neo's it is a common place. I am not trying to avoid the truth. Email me about any game and I will tell you. If I say "Hey I got a perfectly good Super Dodge Ball Bootleg" in my add gets axed. The 100% SNK thing seems to be working. Its more than others give you. Also just because the game is 100% SNK doesn't mean the Cart CASE or the Label is original Just the GUTS of it. The truth is the world outside of Neo-Geo.com could care less. "Does it work?, fine I will take it" I own originals and boots. I could never play Viewpoint if it wasn't for buying a boot from someone on this board.

I thought auction links were forbidden now.

Anyways, botlegs suck as far as collectors are concerned, they usually have cheap, crap labels, and spelling mistakes (Anyone for a game of 'King of Fighter 2001? - SNKSpek).

Not to mention the cheap plastic used on the casing.

- And how is that copy of Super Dodgeball a bootleg? I can't tell by looking at it.

In Shiftyfink's defense, boots of older games like Pulstar and SDB are really not a problem IMO. They're not even remotely close to CDRs containing burned games or ROMs (which morons try to peddle all the time on Ebay), they're not available in huge quantity, and just no big deal. SDB is almost exclusively available as a boot, since the original game was produced in such tiny quantities.

That statement makes me laugh and cry. It's great people want to play these games... but I feel there is some sort of lost honor. Technos should take a hint by the overwhelming demand for the game, and rerelease it for another system.

maybe this has been covered but weren't the white cases like rentals in the japanese market? I read a thread where someone said they had a trade-in system and those white carts where from that.

I have 4 or 5 White MVS games, All SNK-G Carts, All 100% Real, There all Inports, And work 100%. All Labels are Jap. But lots of people put new labels on them. Dosn't mean these are real, But dosn't mean there not.
