( from the madman's cafe )
Playmore, Eolith and Sun Amusement Co. have released first information on their upcoming 2D fighter for the NeoGeo/MVS system, "The King Of Fighters 2002", through Enterbrain Inc.'s Arcadia magazine.
"The King Of Fighters 2002" is scheduled for release in October for the Arcade MVS system, running at approximately 700Megabits. Development is currently 90% complete. The company structure for development and distribution will be the same as KOF2001.
As a game running between story chapters, "The King Of Fighters 2002" will not have a distinct storyline, similarly to KOF98. Specific details on the characters and game system has not been revealed as of now.
"The King Of Fighters 2002" is confirmed to will have over 35 characters. Its basic controls are the same to the previous in its series, with the ABCD button corresponding to weak punch, kick, and fierce punch, kick. Small, medium and large jumps are still existent. A new system relating to the Power meter will be added. Some system(s) will be deleted.
At the current time, no images of the game are available except for two blurred teasers. Character illustrations of the game will be released next month.

no storyline?
thats good
the nests saga was really boring and stupid anyway
no storyline could also mean EIJI & GEESE back
i truly hope so,
for i have sent like 10 emails voting for mister KISARAGI
over 35 characters? 700 megs?
that really sucks
that means shitty animations,once again
and ugly backgrounds
and crap music
terry will NEVER regain all those frames he lost in 2000
and i bet saisyu will be good old saisyu 98
well,i hope so anyway
they could always take his 95 incarnation
and what about strikers?
kof will never be kof again till they remove that crap and all the useless fighters like bao, hinako, ramon, maxima, whip and so on
its funny but
i know i will be very disappointed
but at the same time,
i cant wait to see and play the game
kof is always kof
