Hey,

I finally got my King of Fighters '99 Evolution for the PSX! along with Dragon Ball Z ultimated battle 22. King of Fighters '99 Evolution is way better then Dreamatch I must say. This game rocks!

PSX version? It takes too much time to load, missing frames in animation, and sound is terrible. DC version is still the best. I think it's even surpass the mighty Cart version in animation and audio (character is a little bit smaller than Cart version...just a little bit). Loading time is fast, you can't even tell. But I just hate announcer says "white" (aka fight~~)in beginning of each round....

Hey,

My brother has KoF '99 Dreamatch on Dreamcast, but the PSX version (Evolution) is better. Loading time is slower, but I don't really care about that. KoF Evolution kicks arse.

I have to agree on KOF'95 PSX. That was severely cut down. The sideline characters did not animate, there were the usual PSX frame cuts, and the CPU AI was pathetic. The Saturn one retained the challenging AI of the Neo version. The PSX one was too easy even on level 8.

I seriously don't believe that there is any possible way that a game released for PSX is better than the DC version. Honestly, the DC outshines Playstation across the board in terms of graphic horsepower, polygon pushing power, animation, 3D capabilities, loading times... you name it, the DC does it better than the PSX.

That's a BS saying PSX KOF game is better than DC version.
DC KOF 99 Evolution has 3D at begining of each round with better audio/animation so forth and so on. You must be on drug when you say PSX version is surperior than Sega mighty giant. I never buy any KOF games for my PSX even though price is cheap because there is a trade off for what you can get. Remember PSX is a 5 years machine. How can it compare to 128 bit Sega DC? I dont' get it......just like you say your Eclipse is better than Porche

Hmmmmm..... the DC version is identical to the Neo version. This young gentleman is entitled to his opinion, but the PSX version is missing frames of animation (that fluid SNK feel is gone) and the load time sssuucks!

Speaking of KOF 95 for PS. I see that mega buys or something like that (I actually dealt with them) on ebay is trying to sell that game for $95 for some time now! I sold mine long...ago. I don't think it's worth that much. Probably around $20. Any thoughts on that?

BTW, KOF 97 for PSX was bad too. To slow.

Well.. I really think its better, more characters, oke the Dreamcast has better graphics and music. But I really don't know how the cardridge KoF '99 would be. And I didn't but KoF Evolution for the DC becouse I bought this one for the PSone and I can play this everywhere I want. Still I like the game more. And btw im talking about the Dreamcast Kof Dreamatch not Evolution.

of course you can play KOF 95 anywhere you want on PSone. And the terrible loading time will go with you anywhere you go........

The authentic Neo versions are always better. KOF '99 Dream Match for DC has slower gameplay (it plays like it's crippled), but the Neo version (which is KOF '98 ) has blazing fast gameplay. I dunno', but if I had to choose, I'd pick my Neo versions over any conversion any day.

I said in a prior post that since I got KOF 99 for DC, I wouldn't get the cart version. Oh well, I just won it. I guess I was more interested in it than I thought--of cxouse not playing any videogames let alone DC for over a week can make you do things like that.

Ain't it da truth, MTB! I didn't allow myself to play videogames for the whole semester! So, instead I stocked up on alot of games, not to mention my first foray into the expensive world of Neo Geo. Long breaks from my true love (videogames) builds up tremendous anticipation which must be catered to over the Break! Now it's here and I'm loving life

KOF 99 Dream Match for DC isn't a good game. KOF 99 Evolution on the other hand is identical to Neo Cart. No loading time and awesome 3d intro at each "white".
Go for the KOF 99 E instead of DM. I try to get rid of my Saturn KOF 97, Neo CD 95 and DC KOF 99 DM coz game play for those games are too slow. KOF 96 and 99 E are the best

Sorry Chohan, I must have got confused somewhere while reading this thread(brain fart!). In regards to the DC KOF games,
their actually not bad. The second '99 is pretty damn cool with its 3-d intro's.
