I was just wondering if anyone has seen this and if anyone knows if this is a reliable source. It peeked my interest

"According to the Spanish NeoGeo emulation site 'SpekSNK', a private Japanese 'Electronic Leisure' company have confirmed the development of SNK Vs Capcom for the NeoGeo MVS and home system."

---source is http://www.neoragex.com reported 3-26-01----

sorry, this link should work http://www.neoragex.com

SNK was given 2 licenses for the SNK vs Capcom franchise, and Match of the
Millennium was the first of the two. The next logical step would be to develop an MVS version, but whether SNK will use their second license is anyone's guess.

Eh, these were the same guys who were gonna have Metal Slug 3 decrypted and fully emulated almost a year ago.

Edit...
I'm referring to SpekSNK...

People like to bring up the two game contract... well they got two games, they can get countless others, especially if they think money is involved. I would not make this a proof against the game. I do not know who in their right mind however would put a SNK vs Capcom machine next to a Capcom vs SNK machine in the arcades. First of all it is damn confusing, second the older one will be on better hardware and will look very different then the newer version... hmmm... It just seems like a bad idea to me, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. I am heading to ASI tomorrow... I will return with rumours and gossip... especially since I will be playing the crap out of Sengoku 3!

Obviously the older Capcom vs SNK would look different than, although not necessarily superior to, the newer SNK vs Capcom. The key is the SNK would have a chance to correct Capcom's mistakes (such as the levels of characeters), as well as adding the mini-games that made the NGPC version so incredible.

I'm kinda tired of C vs Snk
How about namco vs. SNK or Sega vs. what-so-ever?

I dont believe that that is an unrealistic possibility. Thats whats so good about having a marquis name in the fighting genre for so long. Even though snk is not producing anymore, that doesn't mean that they can't liscense their fighters and franchises to other companies (a la namco, sega, etc...) to produce some tremendous games on next gen systems. I mean, look at the situation now, companies are still picking up liscenses to produce snk fighters on 128 bit systems (mvs/aes was basically only 16bit). Im psyched about the future
